Most disappointing movie expreience of your lifetime

Hmmm... I think I'm going to have to go with both of the Matrix sequels. Reloaded was horribly paced and introduced a bunch of unnecessary characters that no one gave two sh**s about, but I think I left the theater hopeful that it would all even out in the third one.

But then, Revolutions reared it's ugly head around... and though it wasn't as annoyingly tedious as Reloaded, the end result wasn't any better. I walked out of that theater so pissed off that I cussed out one of my friends.

disappointment comes to me when I really wait for a movie.......off the top of my head I'd say The da vinci code.....I liked it at first but time didn't help !:cwink::o

More recently I might add Transformers 2 because I really liked the first one ....!

I hope Batman 3 will break the "curse" of third parts !

I think, for me at least, the final nail in the coffin was the Architect scene. If not for that scene there may have been some cracks for air to come through, so to speak.

Yeah... that scene was unforgiveable. Ooooohhh... old guy speaking jargon in a Circuit City. Brilliant idea.

Yea seriously, what were they thinking? The bloke was talking utter nonsense :hehe:

"Ergo, the transparent anomolies of the fith cycle of the hoffenheim dimension bla bla bla bla bla"

:funny:

Probably one of the most incomprehensible speech of all time.....saw it a hundred times (because I think it's well shot), never got it :o:csad::whatever::woot:

I love the sketch where Neo asks ten billion questions.

'Why?'

'Who?'

'What for?'

'Why me?'

'When?'

Spider-Man 3 whenever I think of disappointments. I have never been so hyped for a movie in my life. it had everything I wanted. The black suit, sandman interested me alot better because of that awesome money shot.

It was that ****ing awesome teaser trailer with SR. It was better than the film itself. It's still soooo awesome. Especially the beginning. It just blew me away. From then on the hype started and I was insanely obsessed.

I finally saw it, deep down I knew it was disappointing. I knew it when it was over but couldn't think it was, it was what it was. I saw it a second time and I still liked it.

It took me like a year to come out and say it was disappointing. It's not a bad movie, but the promotion was brilliant, it got all of us thinking it would be awesome.

I agree with minibond though, it did look cool.

It looked REALLY cool. I didn't mind that one at all. The third one burned my eyes, raped my nana, grew my virginity back, and danced on the grave of dead peoples whilst giving me a stealthy dose of vampire crabs making me apply garlic cream twice daily.

X-Men 3 hands down. Superman Returns is up there as well.

:lmao: :applaud

Graphic!

Many of the movies that I was dissapointed with have already been mentioned, such as:

-Matrix Reloaded
-Spiderman 3 (I actually hated it)
-Ang Lee's Hulk

but above all it's Terminator Salvation. I still do not know why I ever got my hopes up, only to have it shattered beyond repair.

Yea I was looking forward to Terminator. Big disappointment, but it was still ok. Just not as good as I thought.

McG is a damn good talker. He practically told the movie that we wanted through his mouth and it was alot better than what we got. And the trailers were better. That third trailer was better than the movie. I thought it was gonna be extremely awesome.

Yeah, Lee's Hulk disappointed me too. For some reason I was really looking forward to that when I was 11 or so. It was too damn confusing for an 11 year old to enjoy. I admire the film for taking the risk and making it artsy, that's quite cool actually, but for Hulk it's not really the right direction to go. But I admire the effort.

The fact that a franchise will arise from this new Terminator also makes me sad. All of that money will be wasted away unless they can somehow produce a decent movie with everyone talking and perhaps acting a little rather than screaming their lines from a script.

Phantom Menace

The excitment for this film prior to release had reached fever pitch. This after all was a NEW Star Wars movie. A new film which surely would be every bit as fantastic as the original trilogy?

Then we got-

Trade federations WTF
A tax based story line, but 5 year old level dialogue WTF
Jar jar Binks, Anakin, Boss Nass etc.....WTF

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. So disappointing.

And if I hadn't been giving this experience above then Indiana Jones : KOTCS would also have been as disappointing. Having watched Star Wars : AOTC and Star Wars : ROTS, I now knew that George Lucus midas touch had gone to s*#t.

Thats more or less my feelings towards the movie. I was sooo excited to see this and after watching it I enjoyed it but somethig felt off.

To this day I still like it but I havent watched it half as many times as I did the first two movies.

I would like to add Batman and Robin and Terminator 3 and Ghost Rider to the list too.

Spider-Man 3. Easily.

I've said it before but i've been in break-ups that have hurt less.

In the theatre: Godzilla. The only movie I've ever walked out of.

At home: Napoleon Dynamite. I made it halfway through and shut it off.

What's weird is that I have since grown to love Napoleon Dynamite. It's weird how some movies are great the second or third time you've seen them.

Superman and Spiderman 3 were sooooooo underwhelming...i was clearly more let down by spiderman 3

The Phantom Menace -- 'nuff said.

The ones that come to mind are Spiderman 3 and Superman Returns. I was really excited for these movies, and i was let down.

First time ever i keep looking at my watch while watching a film = Spiderman 3. I just wanted for it to be over  and Superman Returns well, i dont even have the words for it. The kid angle was totally predictable (and lame), and to me Lois was terribly miscast. Brandon did well, but this movie just let me down bigtime.

Jurassic Park III is by far my largest disappointment. Walking out of there, I knew for sure dinosaurs were dead.
