Most disappointing movie expreience of your lifetime

The Hulk, I didn't know much about the Hulk, but was on the superhero craze since X-Men... it was the first and only time I fell asleep in a theatre, while watching a film

X3 was also dissapointing for me because my expectations were very high

I was 12 when Spider-man came out, and I was so excited about it as I loved the cartoon on FOX. After the movie ended I couldn't wait for Spider-man 2. Well, it came out and I had huge expectations. I walked out of the theater with a "What was that?" and I forever can't stand the movie. So from now on my expectations for everything are under control so that never happens again.

X-Men The Last Stand

Just totally, "what was that?" Took what should have been completely amazing and epic, and turned into a mediocre exercise with no drive or vision. Something that felt purely studio driven and didn't have a single talented person working on the darn thing. Weak on every level, as well as being insulting to me as an X-Men fan (a very lenient X-Men fan at that)

The fox people forever deserve to be punched by X-Men fans for this.

Also, I need to mention Jurassic Park: The Lost World. I loved the first and was soooo excited about this one, man did it let me down.

Terminator Salvation.

I had hyped it up so much, from seeing the trailers. Christian Bale's in it. I thought McG would totally redeem himself!

Boy, was i wrong :(

What a disappointment.

I LOVE Jurassic Park. As a kid, I had to have every single toy, poster, book and et cetera that I could find. I even loved The Lost World, even though the San Diego bit was really out of place.

...That being said, I hate Jurassic Park III. That was incredibly disappointing. The ending is one of the most abrupt and ridiculous things I have ever seen. When I saw the rumours that Jurassic Park IV might have super-intelligent, trained raptors, I wasn't even surprised at that point.

I've grown to appreciate JPIII for it's treatment of the velociraptors. I'd like to see that idea explored further.

Roland Emmerich's Godzilla

The hype for that movie was ridiculous. I expected the ultimate monster movie but instead got a dopey piss poor imitation that barely resembled Godzilla. I'm not even a Godzilla fan and I was still very disappointed.

Batman and Robin.

Even though my expectations were adjusted I had no idea what I was about to endure. As a batman fan I was insulted by every line and every scene. I wanted to strangle Joel Schumacher.

Eh? Spider-Man 2? Seriously?

I'd hate to have seen you after part 3. I'm envisioning Wild Turkey, anti-depressants and a revolver.

After seeing the WTC trailer for Spider-man I had high expectations but the movie disappointed big time.

bad cgi, corny acting, miscasting spider-man/mj/flash, power ranger green goblin, ruined death of gwen stacy ending, lame action scenes, etc.

The way how most people feel about SM3, I feel about all the spider-man movies.

Ghost Rider.

Too light, too corny, story fell flat, and Blackheart never became himself.

Wasn't a bad movie, it has good parts, but I was expecting that to be my favorite comic book movie...I love Ghost Rider so yeah.

I think I had myself really pumped up for Terminator Salvation and even put in the time and energy for a midnight showing (directly after work too). I found myself facepalming and rolling my eyes throughout most of it and wanted it to hurry up and end. That's the most recent one that comes to mind. I know I had a bit of disappointment with Spider-Man 3 too (even though Sandman made almost the whole movie for me ), but it doesn't matter to me anymore 'cause I've learned to enjoy it even more now. The disappointment was merely, ah damn it couldn't top 2, oh well. If I hadn't watched the leak for Wolverine then yup, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Also I remember watching POTC 2 and looking around at the people next to me and wondering what the heck they found so funny in some of the comedy bits of the movie. I was just like huh? I guess these people are amused at some of the corniest oneliners and pointless sword battles. *shrug*

Let me see... I'm mostly disappointed by really mediocre movies that I had high hopes and expectations for. I don't really go to see honestly dumb movies in the theatres, but sometimes, if you haven't followed much aside from trailers and stuff, a mediocre movie can mislead you to think that it's actually good before you go and see it. And that can suck :cmad:
So, off the top of my head... The Matrix 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Spider-Man 3, Pathfinder...
If I hadn't seen the leaked workprint version, I would have included the Wolverine movie in the list too, but thanks to the internet, I realized that there is no chance in hell to waste money on that film.

Lethal Weapon 4, Spider-Man 3, and the second Zorro should not have been made, or needed serious reworking.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was disappointing...I expected more from the trailer, which gave an epic feel the movie completely lacked.

Wolverine was disappointing for me because of the potential it had. A great ensemble cast and a talented director.

But I still like it though, I don't think it's the abomination to cinema that some people on here think.

^ I don't think Wolverine, Terminator Salvation, or Spider-Man 3 are abominations on the levels some think, they're just very very far beneath their potential.

Wolverine had a great ensemble cast and a good director, Terminator Salvation had Christian Bale as John Connor (perfect casting IMO), and Spider-Man 3 had all the same cast and crew from the other Spidey movies which I thoroughly enjoyed, admitted corniness and all.

But the elements that look great on paper and in trailers did not great films make.

You guys should realize that this is the internet, everyone hates everything here.

I can't imagine what your thoughts were on Wolverine.

That's exactly the problem with Wolverine. It's not an abomination in any shape or form, but it was just so damned mediocre. Same with Spider-Man 3. These movies have a bigger potential than being brainless flicks with plot holes and tons of CGI. That's what's annoying about such movies.

@Arya

I thought Wolverine was much better than X-3.

X-3 was a jumbled mess. Why try and cram two of the biggest mutant storylines into one 90 minute film? If they picked one or the other it would of been better.

At least Wolverine knew what it wanted to be, just the execution wasn't brilliant. And I liked the action scenes in Wolverine more. The final battle in X-3 looked like it was on a sound stage.

The most recent dissappointment was Burn After Reading.
