Of course of course, but I don't think anybody has to repeat that everytime they say 'realistic', and that still stands for things like TDK suit. I get it, but I loved the Begins-suit, and it showed us a 'realistic' approach, without sacrificing much of a comicbook aesthetic, and the same should be for a new bat-mobile or any gadget. I just don't feel like having to debate 'realism', with people who keep saying "well, Nolan's movies aren't 'realistic', they're just a 'heightened reality'". I think by now, 99% of people get it, and at the same time, I don't think Nolan is going to break that cycle. I just want what looks better.Well, 'realistic' has always been a bit of a misnomer in terms of describing these films. They're grounded in an a certain realistic/utilitarian sensibility...which makes them 'feel' more realistic than most comic-based movies, but they aren't actually realistic. For example, a cape/wing like Batman has simply won't allow a 160-180-lb-ish man to glide with the kind of control that Batman does in these movies....if it could, then hangliders wouldn't have to be the size they are.
So it's less about true 'realism', per se, and more about things being in line with the rationale of the story's approach. In this case...most of Batman's suit/gadgets are sourced from his company's military technology which we can associate with things in real use today...so it only stands to reason that his vehicle would follow suit, so to speak. Is the Tumbler realistic? Detail-for-detail, not really...but for all intents and purposes, it certainly feels realistic and sensible enough within the approach of the movie itself.
If Nolan goes down the same route that he has with ALL of his villains, she'll have be wearing a suit and tie.JAK®;19530401 said:I don't see them putting Catwoman in an armoured costume, even though she needs it as much as Batman.

The real question is...will there be a Catmobile?

I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet (59 is a lot of pages to check). But they already have an in for replacing the Tumbler. Remember when Fox said "In war time, two of these would jump towing cables." and "we could never get the bridge to work" Which means they had to have built two to test it out. So there is another Tumbler out there.

I have a yearning to see the next Batmobile get smashed up by Bane somehow.![]()
^ Please, all Bane would have to do is pick up the batpod and throw it. We're talking about Bane smashing here.
You're also overestimating how exaggerated Nolan would make Bane's strength, I'd wager.
Exactly. People are gonna get disappointed. Severely.
'It's understandable though. His most immediately defining qualities are his venom, size, and strength. To do away with them so easily would seem like a waste of an adaptation.
Yeah, it's been said before, but really, it doesn't matter, because they still have the blueprints to build another.I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet (59 is a lot of pages to check).
