u know what, and this is an unpopular opinion, but if Fox now wants another hit like It or stranger things so bad, they should have known better since the beggining and sign a very young cast for this particular comic, you know, just how New mutants started, with almost kids meeting Charles and getting to the school. I never understood why Fox and producers went for 20 something actors for this story, just like the X-Men prequels. Talk about being redundant.
if young X-Men actors from Apocalypse have around 19 and 24, why doing the same with new mutants, when it was the perfect comic to explore a new territory and audience? big mistake there, imo. (as good as Anya, Maisie and co are) but to me it was always a mistake. Fox just decided to appeal to the same audience as X-Men movies, same demo I mean. this comic was done to appeal to a different demo. but Fox failed there. And now after the test screening, they suddenly want something closer to It and Stranger things (both starred by children)
