I know right! That's so Superman of him. Too bad most people seem to overlook that little moment.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. And I was thinking: Does Lex want to die? Or was he counting on Superman doing that?

Man, I can't wait to see the movie again. Still waiting on my friends.

Nevermind this post. Maybe too off topic haha.

lol, your signature about Barry Allen made me laugh so hard. Good one.

I absolutely didn't expect how simple the title credits were, and that too during the tear inducing flashback scene. Even the title of the movie wasn't fancy. I didn't expect that at all.
That's art for ya :sly:

I like his expression...it's sorta a mixture of excitement (Doomsday is born) and confusion ("how does this thing work???")

he's probably too engaged in seeing his plan come true to do anything else, and of course he knows that Superman will not let him die onsite.

I don't know if this will make sense but I put Superman the Movie and Batman '89 on their own pedestal as they hold so much nostalgia for me. So I only like to compare CBMs from Blade onwards (plus the technology has improved since those days), Man of Steel is my favourite CBM but I think BvS is a better 'comic book movie' in that it feels more comic booky.

Makes complete sense to me. I feel the same way.

It's almost as if BH/HHH is my long-lost brother, separated by that big pond. :cwink:

Just a wonderful experience reading comments in this video. :yay: From top to bottom people say they thought the film was great. :ilv:

Maybe we were rocketed from a distant planet but our rockets got knocked off the same course and we landed in different countries :funny:

I'm the same way. I love all 4 Supermans as well as the first three Batmans because of how much I loved them when I was a kid. I just barely outgrew Batman And Robin before it came out lol. Hell, I loved the 90's Captain America movie, I remember the first time I discovered it at the video store, and watched it multiple times in one night.

Nowadays I appreciate them for sentimental value, but they aren't exactly the type of movie I'd want to see.

Well they're very much of their time, I think it's nostalgia why I can watch the bad films over and over again.

Me either, although tbh I wasn't sure what to expect. I think I just thought it would start with the Wayne's walking out of the theatre.

Did you notice it never said the title anywhere? I mean Man of Steel the title card came on before the end credits in that film but they didn't bother here. I wonder why?

I really enjoyed the first Batman scene. When the girl points to the ceiling and says he's still there, you could hear the criminal's screams above you. I was in a regular AMC room btw. Not IMAX. I really liked that.

Oh yeah, so good. Like something from a horror movie, more of that in the Batman solo please.

4dx is when the cinema features special effects like water, wind, fog, smell, lights, seats that move and everything is in synch to the on-screen action.

This was my third viewing. :woot:

Wow, do you get cold when it's wet?

It's probably my favourite too. I don't think it's the best quality superhero movie ever made, but as a Superman fan, the fact that I even like it at all puts it right at the top of my list :funny:

Superman is my favorite fictional character, and I think that BVS is the greatest Superman movie yet, IMO. Did not like MOS but loved BVS very much. Nice to know that other Superman fans love this movie too.

Seems like a good place to talk about what I loved about this film without getting heckled.

Currently sat watching Man of Steel, I know we're only two films in but we having a freaking DCU on film people. :woot:

I can't wait till the Ultimate Cut of BvS is out.

When I watched the movie for the second time, editing felt way less confusing and I was able to pay more attention to subplots. Little things or phrases I didn't notice before.

It's really nice that Superman fans love the film. Somber tone didn't take away enjoyment. I rooted for Superman too, I can't say it's my favorite Superman film, because I like Man of Steel too, but I'm certainly not disappointed.

Does it make sense that BvS is my favourite Batman film but I still think of BvS as more of a Superman film (and I love Superman's arc in the film) but Man of Steel is still my favourite Superman film?

I also think I was able to pay closer attention to Flash's vision outfit. It kinda reminded me a mix of Flash and Iron Man, bulkier tech above his regular costume. Armor with not only cowl, but also some kind of helmet or face protection above it. Looked AWESOME.

I know Batman did detective work in the Burton/Schumacher films and in TDK trilogy. But does anyone else feel like BvS was the first time we got full on detective Batman? And by that I mean more like the comics version.

I mean take the Fight Club scene which I love, he's there solely to clone the guys phone, at Lex's party he's there solely to steal information etc.

Another Bruce scene I loved was with Alfred when Alfred knows he's Bulls***inghim about the dirty bomb and it's actually Kryptonite he's after. Alfred says something like "you're going to steal it to keep it out of the wrong hands? To destroy it" wanting him to but Bruce wants it to take on Supes. I just thought that scene was so Bruce & Alfred.

Yeah I'm exactly the same.

I mean, it's still so far off 'my' Superman that I almost feel guilty saying it... but I just loved the storyline as an elseworlds tale, the way everything played out and each characters role in the final outcome. Everyone had their part to play :)

It's totally a Superman film as the story revolved around Superman and the new main characters' reactions after the event of the Black Zero in Metropolis.

In fact Superman came off much more a positive person who tried to help people as much as possible. He is in a way too naive in thinking that he can trust human based on his relationship with Lois.

It makes perfect sense. Nearly everything is driven by influence of Superman in BvS. Only this time Superman is viewed both from Clark's eye and those close to him AND humanity overall. So his own world became a bit more cramped, since we can't have movies last 5 hours. But Batman is more active in this film, so no wonder. Man of Steel is focused purely on Clark and his growth.
