I wonder who's supposed to be inside that Tumbler. Maybe Bruce still has a soft spot for Talia so he didn't completely just blew up the Tumbler.

Talia was in a 'normal' Tumbler so it could be her.
I'm intrigued by the second explosion that flipped it, thanks for the reports Subaru!

How are they doing that? They couldn't dig a real whole in the ground. Pittsburgh would be pissed.

Wow, saw the tumbler that got blown up. They really are as tough as they make them look in the movies! It was flipped and fell in a hole and the only damage it took was a few small plates got blown off that cover the suspension. That's it. These things really are tough as nails. I'm really impressed. Wow.

I'm going to speculate here a bit but I think she might be driving (or a passenger in) the big truck in this chase. Seeing as how we saw that stuntwoman practicing driving the big truck.

My brain is trying figure out how they did it. Did they really take out jackhammers to do this?

Or did they use a pre existing area that was already dug in but had grating over it.

no they used that backhoe to dig it up. then they put crushed rock in the bottom and built up the sides there with those braces and some wall material then lowered down the pyro package which is I'm assuming some flammable gas and air cannons (real explosives would cause too much damage to the street) then covered it with a fake road that would easily be "blown away"

They dug it and built a frame inside it. The cracked edges are fakes added after the hole was dug.

Chills from that explosion video. To think in the movie, Batman is above raining down hell on evil with total dominance. He's not killing, either. Just stopping them dead in their tracks and taking them out of the chase.

Exactly. Fake road was made of styrofoam. Air cannons blow it up, explosions were there to make it look real.

And after reading the last replys, i'm not going to see these last videos/images. Too much spoilers around what is shaping up to be one hell of an action scene...

Correction: the one I saw was not the wrecked one. Wrecked one has caved in front end. Got a very brief video of it before they told me to stop filming. Still looks like it might be driveable. They put a blue tarp over it and are trucking it out of here poor tumbler. Hope they don't destroy it!
