I am so glad you do not have the power.
I think I'm quite capable in finding the right people for a superhero film.
You do understand that I don't write or direct it, don't you? I just ask certain people to work on the film, and then we discuss their vision and what they wanna do with the character(s), what actors they want, the pro and cons for everything etc.
Let's say Peter Jackson agrees to step in when he gets the offer. Then I would be willing to let him go with his own take as much as possible. Someone like him would be involved in the script too, of course.
If Jackson wanted to make Wonder Woman, he could even let her wear the awful pants. But atleast in a shorter part of the film, WW must have the battle skirt instead. That's an example of the few details I would control.

Does it still sounds bad?

If Peter Jackson directed it, it would likely be about four hours long, stuffed with unnecessary and uninteresting plot threads, full of painfully shoddy CGI, and Orlando Bloom would probably end up playing Batman.

Be thankful for what you have.

"World's finest" in that title clearly refers to the "comics" and not the characters. Unless Snyder would be arrogant enough to entitle his film "World's Finest Movie: Batman vs Superman", the meaning would be different anyway.

JUSTICE: Batman V Superman

would have been better.

I'm sure that would have been met with a good round of praise from everyone. People will do what they do.

Sad to say but there really is no ultimate victory when it comes to this for WB/Snyder, the best they can do is stick to their guns.

3/10. I like "Dawn of Justice" but I really dislike "Batman v Superman." I really really don't like the v. It sounds like something from a fan film. Also this new title has almost nothing in common with MoS. Why not go like the Thor series?

Thor
Thor: The Dark World

Man of Steel
Man of Steel: Dawn of Justice

My problem with the title is that it is a marketing gimmick. The title should be made by the STORY people, not the MARKETING people. It's Superman, Batman, and WW. This movie will sell itself. It doesn't need a WB gimmick to do so. The GA is not stupid.

Sounds like the title is plenty based on the 'story'.
As much if not more so than just calling it 'thor' or 'Superman'.

For the record, I think the movie itself will be great. Just not thrilled about the title.

Ack, you leave Legol--Orlando alone! :jedi

It's so funny how every single thing that's released gets nitpicked lol....I don't understand how a title of a movie can set people off ....it's like the title comes on screen.......then....end credits....caa mon people!.....seriously?.....don't let the GA be right about us fanboys and girls....smh

This is so true... if Snyder does this film the way he did MOS, then we won't even SEE the title until the film is over. So if it bothers you THAT much, then just put it out of your mind and then close your eyes after the last scene in the movie and pretend it isn't there. :woot:

The lenght of the film and the cast are two major issues that should be discussed before the shooting of the film.
If PJ wants a 4 h film, then I would suggest he cut in it half and have two films that are 2 h each :)
Orlando Bloom as Bruce Wayne would never be on the director's mind unless he's making a Batman film. In other words, not in a WW film. Solo adventures is the way to go if I control Warner Brothers like this :)
As for Bloom, PJ has to defend his casting idea and explain why "Legolas" is the best actor to play Bats. And it won't be easy to convince me because I would rather have someome else.

Check my qoute here:
I just ask certain people to work on the film, and then we discuss their vision and what they wanna do with the character(s), what actors they want, the pro and cons for everything etc.
Is this clear? :)

Yes I am glad you don't have that power and after reading this post I am still glad. It comes across as fan boy ranting and raving.
You'll change the title...probably to WF.
You'll scrap the film...without knowing anything about this film you've already deemed it crap and decided that it should go away.
Then have someone re-write the script...again fan boy knee jerk reaction
Take all the heroes other than Batman and Superman out because they should be in solo films AKA do it like Marvel.
Recast Batman and Lex...more fanboy knee jerking
redesign the bat suit....I can not NOT support this any harder...we have the first suit that looks like the guy from the comics and you want to change it...nope
and then hire a new director....again fan boy knee jerking.

They had to include Batman in the title, cause the inclusion of that character adds more bank. I think a better medium to satisfy all fans and show it as a sequel would have been... Man of Steel: Batman V Superman

If it carried a Marvel logo, the prevailing sentiment would be "OMG teh awesome!!!11"

The title sounds inelegant to me, but most blockbuster titles sound pulpy and clumsy. Whatever.

i dunno, "Age of Ultron" isnt really winning any Awesome Title Awards either, but really thats kinda moot because we know most people will refer it as Avengers2 anyway :woot:

Warner Bros: ALL WE CARE ABOUT IZ DA MONEY!!!!

Marvel: WE LUV OUR FANS AND ONLY MAKE GOODE FILMZ!

Edgar Wright: but-but-but-

Marvel: SHUT UP EDGAR! FAIRY DUST!!!
:lmao:

but gosh Edgar Wright off AntMan..... thats a travesty in itself :(

I think most of the nit-picking aimed at this film and DC in general is due to their perceived "desperation" to catch up with Marvel. I'm not just talking about Marvel studios and the MCU, but the franchises from Sony and Fox as well. With every Marvel superhero movie released, fans from both sides are incessantly comparing and contrasting every detail from both companies; and since DC does not match Marvel in terms of volume in the cinematic landscape, DC will inevitably be the victim of overblown criticism. I know we are not supposed to discuss DC vs. Marvel but this was just my observation on the whole issue.

(emphasis mine)
it isnt perceived-- it IS desperation. money is an extremely powerful motivator for the greedy to get things going their way however way they can the quickest time possible.

Btw the idea of all 3 as main heroes reminds me of the greatest online fan film Superman Doomsday :D

Believe me if i had my way, we would get that superman trilogy, we would get the solo (and unlike the mcu, self contained) bat film, and wonder woman/flash/aquaman film before we even had a slither of a JL film.

:up::up: Your way is the right way.

WB is not desperate. Some DC fans appear to project their own desperation on the studio.

Yes, profit is inevitably the motivation for any company's actions, but WB does not struggle for profit. It simply has many more strings to its bow than Marvel. Fans calling for WB to "be like Marvel" are effectively calling for a long established film studio with a diverse portfolio of properties to narrow its focus and put it squarely on comicbook movies. To me, this seems a bit selfish. It also seems counter-intuitive. There seem to be about eight comicbook movies each year at the moment, which seems like more than enough.

i lost all respect for Peter Jackson after the way he handled The Hobbit 1 and 2....he'd be a good choice for a WW movie but I'm glad he's not doing DOJ

I think fans need to relax and wait to see how this will all happen before condemning the WB plan because it's not like Marvel.
