YOU'RE ALIVE!!!!! I've been anxiously awaiting your return. Sorry to hear about your financial problems, man. Economy's not doing much of anything lately.

The score is fairly good, but it's "la la la laaaaaaaaa la laaaa" portion is interesting, as it's very middle eastern for a citywide hero.

Even more oddly enough, it works perfect in ASM.

Think it may be my favorite score of the year thus far.

Can't stop listening to "I Can't See You Anymore" and "Promises-End Titles" among other tracks. It is a unique score that shows quite some depth and the main theme, after several listens becomes memorable.

Hope Horner sticks around for the rest of the trilogy because he truly brings something to the table.

Still think the Danny Elfman opening title music is iconic but overall, Horner has created the better score.

"Promises-End Titles" <-- LOVE IT
also "Saving New York"
I wish i could post the final swing :csad:

Do they have portions or all of the ASM score online?

It's on youtube.

I think that the album ends with somewhat of a...well not a whimper, but no bang.

However the "secrets" music is oddly beautiful.

No problem

Highlights, imo include :

Main Title - Young Peter
The Briefcase
Secrets
The Spider Room - Rumble in the Subway
Hunting for Information
The Equation
The Ganali Device
Ben's Death
Becoming Spider-Man
The Bridge
Lizard At School

The music for the crane scene in 'Saving New York' was pretty epic too.

Just bought the sound track. Overall I thought it was excellent with the highlights being the police chase (after the car jacker scene), the bridge and the basketball scene. I did think the 'Halloween' slasher one key score ('BING! ....BING!) where Gwen is hiding from the Lizard was a little...odd.

Overall I really liked it and it's the first score I've bought since Spider-Man 1.

Oh my god the lashing out on the piano is the worst part of the score lol

Though I do wonder, what made Horner think about using finger-snapping.

It works with it, it's just such an odd superhero score, not a bad one, really good! Just...interesting.

I thought the score could have been better. Elfman got the romance and the fun just right. Sometimes I kind of felt like when Horner's score started up I was like "oh I meant to be feeling x emotion now"

I actually liked the lashing out part, I felt like it increased the tension. There was never a part of the movie where I felt like the music was out of place, oddly enough.

Same here. Altough I have not listened to Zimmer's TDKR one yet, so there's that. But this is something entirely new.

Well, I have listened to the full TDKR album, and so far TASM is still my favorite score this year. BUT....I still haven't heard all those TDKR bonus tracks, and I have a feeling they may be able to push that score over the edge for me.

I've heard all of them except "Lizard At School." The music I'd described as beautiful and eerie at times. Some tracks, dare I say this, sound too good for a comic book film. I'm glad he didn't go all epic on every track, he showed some constraint.
I have listened to the full TDKR album,
Where can I find these tracks online?

"Promises" is my favorite piece...absolutely love it. So sad.

Also love "Saving New York" about after the 5 minute mark...when Spidey starts running, EPIC!

"Uncle Ben's Death" is great too. One of my favorite scenes in the movie after his death, when Peter is beating up the thugs, and they start chasing him. Great part of the song.

Caught it again today with my dad, and the main leitmotif is starting to grow on me.

I will agree with you here

Some of the music Horner made sounds a bit like it belongs to Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends, or rather inspired by music of that show, it threw me off, and made me enjoy the movie less
