You boviously cant see the difference between great imitation and great acting.

I said it was good not great. It's a good impression. I just felt that it showed that a recast could be possible. It wouldn't have to be this guy. I'm sure they could find some one better.

Joker's next goal can be to take over the criminal under world.

It would be out of character for the Nolanverse Joker to try and take over the criminal underworld. That guy was never about power or money. That's irrelevant to him. His goals are more abstract, more personal and meaningful.

Last time I checked he is American.

really, did not know that lol... even more perfect

I assumed because of Pirates and a David Letterman Interview he wasn't...

It's ALL about power. But not the usual ways to exercise it.

yeah Joker was about mischief and mayhem and while all the pandominium is going on Joker is already taking what he wants and plotting his next move. If anything I would like something like the Batman video game where Joker takes over the Arkham Asylum and rounds up a new crew of henchmen or villains to trap and kill (or try to) Batman. Two-Face should also show up but just as a cliffhanger or maybe a cameo. another villain should be presented maybe The Riddler to help draw Batman to Arkham Asylum and to trap him there.

Good to see a lot of people are in favor of the Joker being recast despite Ledgers great performance. The best and most obvious thing for the next film would be the Riddler as the main villain but you can bring back the Joker as well, and I think there's one guy who can pull it off with his own incredible version: DANIEL DAY LEWIS. I heard a rumour last year about how they were talking about using the Joker in a courtroom scene in the next one...that would be something. Opinions?

I'd rather it be Two-Face to come back, and also Joker as a smaller role.

I'd rather have the Joker be recast, since you know, the character isn't dead.

However, neither one is favorable (IMO).

It would be good to have both back. The Joker is interesting, as is Eckhart's approach to Two-Face.

But... why? Their character arcs have ended. Bringing them back now would be, to coin a phrase, flogging a dead horse. I wouldn't bring either back in this interpretation of the Bat-universe. There are plenty of other villains to bring in.

Two-Face isn't dead i think.because he has fallen as high like that other criminal that batman throwt from the roof.

Are you referring to Maroni? He landed on his feet, breaking his ankles. Quite a difference from Two-Face who landed flat on his back.

And Nolan has said that he considers Two-Face dead.

But don't let the little facts rain on your parade :)

The script says that two-face snapped his neck when he fell

The script is irrelevant. There were a number of things in the script that were different than what was filmed. What is actually stated on camera is what's important.

Do you have a link to an exact quote of Nolan saying that? And when he said it?
At one point before filming, Nolan said definitively that Joker would not be wearing makeup. That changed. How do you know he didn't change his mind about Two-Face's death as he did about Joker's makeup? And did he say Harvey Dent was dead, or Two-Face was dead?
It's been said many times in the comics that Harvey was dead, but that Two-Face lives instead (metaphorically speaking). It's possible that Nolan would use that concept, He seems to like using concepts like that right from the comics.
Anyway, I have yet to see anything that indicates 100% that TF is indeed dead. Or not dead. I'm gonna wait until the next movie before I make any such proclamations either way.

I cannot believe Two-Face's death still being debated. And to say that the script is irrelevant is, well, not smart.

This sounds kind of cool. Of course, I don't really see Joker cooperating in a courtroom...but still kind of intriguing and it seems appropriate somehow in Nolanverse.

they should bring Joker back i mean he's only the ying to Batman's yang. recasting someone credible should calm down the fan boys like Johnny Depp or someone to that effect. as far as Two-Face i say bring him back as well but again too many villains can ruin a movie. Spidey 3 anyone??? but anyways Depp has the talent to nail Ledger's interpretation of The Joker. it would have to be Depp acting as Ledger acting as The Joker.
