Different webbing pattern, different gloves / boots pattern and the part on the upper arms and lower legs, silver lining on the boots, no belt, black crotch, see-through lower mask (according to some people here).

Yea, especially if they are trying to go for a darker look for this film...
One day though, I'd like to see big white eyes in a live-action Spidey movie... I'm sure eventually someone will find a way to make it work :)
 
So this costume doesn't have lens and we will see the actor's eyes through this mesh.

You can kind of see it in the second officially released photo. Notice how the fabric over his mouth is a different shade of red than the rest of the mask. There are also some set photos where you can see it as well. There is one in particular where Spider-Man is standing next a column where you can see his mouth and nose clearly through the mask. I've been trying to find this picture again but it is buried within one of the three "Suit Discussion" threads.

What this forum needs is a pictures thread with absolutely no discussion so that it would be much easier to sort through.

I'm pretty sure it's a different material so that Spidey's jaw moves when he talks instead of staying still.
 
Jesus Christ... I hope we can't see his mouth.

Fair enough about the eyes... but not the mouth. :\

That may be part of it, but you can see his mouth through the mask either way. When I first noticed it I tried convincing myself that they used a different material over his mouth so that it would be easier to breath, but the more pictures I see the more apparent it is that it is done this way so you can see his mouth when he is talking.
 
I don't think you could see Tobey's mouth in the mask. I think they used a prosthetic that made the face more defined.
 
^ Yup. It was basically like a plastic hinged jaw thing. There's a lot of stuff on the BTS disc for the first movie.

yeah, inside the mask itself was a plastic head piece to give Spider-Man the rounded head shape, there was also a plastic jaw piece that would allow his mask to move whenever he spoke, similar to his mouth movements when he talks in costume on the cartoons and stuff
 
Visible mouth? Sounds silly, this isn't suppose to be a gimp mask or ski mask. I'm not head over heels in love but the official pics look nice.
 
I don't understand how anyone can stand here and say "You'll be able to see his mouth." It takes exactly one look at any of the photos to see that isn't true. I'm als baffled as to why anyone thinks we'll be able to see his eyes.
 
I just looked through every spy photo and looked at the new photo with a fine tooth comb. The mouth is not visible.

I don't like your use of grammar/spelling error. :huh:

From unofficial set videos and set pics to official pics, the only time his mouth is visible is when he isn't wearing the mask. :whatever:
