Super reflective eyes? Not sure if want. :'(

The suit looks fine to me, I don't mind the gloves, silvershoes, stripe....I've been trying to justify the suit/defend it...but the reflective eyes make it hard...much like jon90 apparently.

I've discovered one thing about myself. I thought I was a purist, in that a costume has to be 100% like the source material because I was annoyed by the superman returns outfit and I don't like the cap outfit but I don't think that is the case anymore. I think as long a costume looks 'cool' that's good enough for me and imho the new spidey outfit looks 'cool' so I'm okay with it.

with that said, the official pic is cool, hyzak manip is cool, but the fan pics with the bright blue and the bright red aren't cool at all they look horrid and if that's what spidey's costume looks like come the movie (rather then the deep rich colours and gritty feel of the official picture then it's a fail.

Yeah the costume look pretty cool in the first official picture, I don't mind changes from the source material as long as it maintains the essence of the comics and works in the film.

The eyes seem to be, like Eggy said, highly reflective. Since there are large black objects around in this scene, they would reflect the black. Just like they reflected other colors in previous set pics.

the official picture blew me the **** away (in a good way) and then when I saw the fan pics I felt like crying. I don't think it's coincedence that sony released that official pic before the unofficial pics started to swamp the internet because if I saw the fan pics without seeing the official pics I would want blood.

As cool as the new suit may be (stil reserving jugdment. I hope the suit looks more like the official picture), it's NOT better than the last films suit, IMO.

I think everyone should take a break from this film for like six months until Comic Con. The boards should be closed. It would do all of us good. Less exposure.

I would be doing myself a service by waiting until some footage shows up then look at crappy spy photos a thousand times. Once or twice was enough to get an idea of the costume. Time for a break.

Anyone agree with this sentiment? This movie comes out 2012 !

the crappy shots aren't helping. you really need to see things in context. I thought the shots in the avater trailer looked diasterous (and that an official trailer rather than leaked CG shots) and thought 'OH DEAR' but the MOVIE visuals blew me away. you aren't seeing the costume in context.

I'm glad they are starting early, that will give the visual effects people more than a whole year to perfect the effects.
