The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man Reboot Costume Part 4 - "What's that in his eye??" - Part 5

Of course it's my opinion.
I think it makes the costume look half-assed, unfinished, and lazy.

I just can't see how adding lines to the legs, taking away some of the webs, and adding shoe bottoms make it seem unfinished and lazy.

My biggest problem is the removal of the horizontal web lines in some areas. That does make it look unfinished and lazy.

Well they stated that it was to emphasize his long and slender body type, which I think it does accomplish quite well. With the webs (specifically on his torso) it would take away from that look, because you'd be focusing on more on the horizontal than the vertical and he wouldn't seem as slender.

Not putting all the webs does make it look lazy. Like when the 1967 TV series did the same. Now the legs lines and shoe bottoms don't look lazy or unfinished; they look straight ugly and un-Spiderman.

Agreed.

I love them too. I may even like them more than the classic white lenses.

She saw it coming.

I prefer the classic white. I wonder if the yellow lenses will be kept on a potential symbiote costume?

Probably not. But I don't think they're going to do the symbiote at all in this trilogy. It just doesn't seem very likely.

I think so as well. And I hope there will be no symbiote storyline in this trilogy. There are so many other cool story possibilities that haven't been brought to the big screen yet.

I really want to see Scarlet Spider in a film. But that will never happen.

I guess I'll just have to wait for that movie to be made in my dreams. :csad:

It's just a question about a hypothetical.

I want to see the symbiote at some point. I'll take Green Goblin and Venom again over the Electro or Sandman any day.

Unfortunately, there's too much story to tell before you can get to the Clone Saga.

Yes, I know. I think if they DID do a symbiote costume, it would have white/grey eyes.

Which is why he'll probably never show up on film. Which bums me out, because I love the Scarlet Spider. :csad:

So why might you prefer the yellow eyes to the classic white?

I don't know why, really. I guess it's because it's different. I like seeing different interpretations of the characters (not TOO different though, like some of the costume designs from the first Spider-Man film).

They sort of seem more.....bug-like, too, I suppose. Not only the color, but they way they're designed (more round, the "holes" in the lenses).

I really dig the reflectiveness, i think its an awesome dynamic, looking golden in the light and black in darkness, adds a lot of "personality"

Agreed. i think the lenses should change a lot. sometimes white, sometimes goldish, sometimes black, and sometimes reflective. that would be very cool to get a variety.

and from the look of it thats exactly what were gonna get, i cant wait to see it be put in action. Im also excited to see if theres gonna be a scene (most likely last fight scene) where the suit and mask get totally ravaged and beat up. Thats something that i thought was awesome in the first raimi movie but was missing in 2 and 3

i think thats going to happen too. judging from this:

I wanna see some rips in tears though, but thats a start^

Yea I bet his mask was just so torn up he took it off.

That or he's really ******** because he got his ass kicked and they wanted to show his facial expression.

Or, going out on a limb here, that particular shot isn't even going to be in the movie and they just did that to show off the new suit and tone of the film.

I could see him walking down a dark alley so he can get changed. He has his bag with him.
