The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man Reboot Costume Part 4 - "What's that in his eye??" - Part 6

Thor's pants drive me crazy :o.

Iron-man (in IM2 and The Avengers), TDK, Thor (in The Avengers), Captain America (in The Avengers)
And even though Spidey costume wasn't really changed almost at all in SM2, they still changed the back&front spiders, and we're talking about the so called "perfect spidey costume adaptation"
Trust me, the suit will change

You're talking about design changes that work for the respected film's story? And I did say EXCEPT for Batman. He changes his suit in every film he's in although The Dark Knight Rises seems to be different.

Trust me, the sequel won't call for his suit to look like a more classic-like suit. And even with that, I could only see certain little things altering on the suit, but nothing major.

The decisions to make a reboot or changing the suit aren't on the same level at all, can't be compared. And how is it a lame reason? It would really help the sequel if they made a costume that everyone is fine with, believe it or not.
Ghost Rider seemed to reboot it's style in the sequel because almost nobody liked the first one. Popularity matters. It's not like TASM is made by an indie film studio that doesn't give a ****

It won't help the sequel at all, and only to make the fans giddy.

And speaking of Ghost Rider...the second film is trash just as the first. What made it seem like it changed up its style? Crap to crap?

The costume changes are minor. I didn't even know Thor's costume was different in the Avengers until it was pointed out. It's similar to the tweaks the designers did to the suit for Raimi's Spider-Man over the trilogy.

Captain America's costume again, is for the story. His suit from the 1940's (??) isn't going to be suited for a modern environment. Visually or practicality-wise.

I for one don't want the costume to change, but if it does so then your right, it should serve the story. He can update his cotume to combat his villain appropriately, like if we do see Electro in a future sequel, maybe we will see him wear this:

:funny:

maybe not that, but he can change his suit if its needed.

Geez, changing costumes from movie to movie is standard practice. They learn different techniques, what worked and what didn't the previous time, etc. They're not going to spend 150 million making a movie and reuse the same old sweaty outfits they used three years ago. C'mon.

I wouldn't say the new suit is unpopular - certainly not amongst the general audience. Outside of select Spider-Man fans, you're not going to hear people complaining about the redesigned suit as they walk out of the theater.

This opinion based on what exactly?

I haven't heard any complaints outside of the internet about the suit. I doubt they're going to change it (well, I doubt they'll change it drastically). If they give in to whiny fans on the internet I will be pretty disappointed.

Where else exactly would you hear complaints about something? It's not like some kind of poll was taken concerning the suit.

Lol, because I think it looks good on this suit and I wouldn't mind seeing it in a suit that's more in line with the classic design. :D

That would be illogical. The grid pattern serves no purpose on the new suit and it won't serve any purpose if you imprint it on the classic one either.

Again, what are you talking about? Did you even bother to read the other comments?

It wasn't about serving a purpose. Our comments were about what we'd like in a suit. I was talking about a suit that's more in line with the classic design. Not the classic design itself.

I'd like them to change the eyes. That is all. The rest I can deal with, but the reflective eyes still kinda bother me.

I got used to them back in the early 80's when I saw the second season of the Spider-man TV live action show. :yay:

It could serve the story... I mean, this costume is what a teenager would design, but if he goes to college in the sequel, while changing the costume to be more efficient (flexibility, web cartridge placement and so on) he might as well make the design more mature looking because he's not a young teenager anymore

And speaking of Ghost Rider...the second film is trash just as the first. What made it seem like it changed up its style? Crap to crap?

I wasn't saying that the second film is any better than the first one, I was just saying that the style difference is clear, they tried a different style since the first one didn't work. The fact that the second film also failed, well that's a different story

Like the colors too. Reminds me some of Dell'otto's work.

Minor alterations such as a better web cartridge makes sense, but I can't see him making a so-called "more mature" suit. The suit is "mature enough". It would look childish if he wore a t-shirt and a bag over his head, but the suit is detailed enough to fit that.

Which shows that that style didn't even work, lol.
