How do I explain people selling theaters in bulk, as even in my small town, I see happen all the time? That is how I explain it.

Even people over at reddit box office see how bizarre the tweets praising bo performance for this film are. They're vague, not specifying exactly how many hours it held the record.

As pointed out a Box Office Theory, they have announced the "records" in a way that support that it isn't as big as you might thing. There is an ocean of difference between that and the conspiracy that Disney is buying out theaters all over the country to... well I am not sure what. Because in that very idea, why would Disney stop? Also, so a Marvel movie that legged it to well over 400m domestically and over a billion worldwide, bought out theaters early on for what purpose exactly?

"reporting", the more you start seeing "This Youtuber says", "This could be happening", blah blah.

Ultimately it's all a moot point anyway. We can expect the movie will have a big opening. You'd have to be pretty delusional to seriously think this movie was going to tank. It doesn't mean it's going to break Endgame's OW record necessarily, but it has always had very good odds of opening huge. Ultimately how it does after that will depend on word of mouth, and the usual.

I still think history is a reliable indicator and we could be looking at overall totals that are above TLJ, but still below TFA. Just like the previous Star Wars trilogies. Personally I think it has a good shot at taking the #2 spot from The Lion King.

When leaks for Endgame's script were out, fans were equally and logically pissed, but when the actual film came out... it actually worked on screen.

If there's anything JJ is good at is making a fun and enjoyable movie, regardless of the script. I've seen that done with his Star Trek run... although, he didn't do much for fans of the franchise. So there's that...

I can only assume he won't be able to tie up this movie in a nice logical story narrative for this last film of the current trilogy. But he will razzle and dazzle audience... so take what you can get.

Huh? I post a lot so probably. CM is different, it was a second female led CBM movie so of course it was gonna do well. "Completely different person"? What a bizarre statement to make.
