But was it supposed to be satire? I have no idea what that fad with those hybrid books was supposed to be.

And notice I said I don't want Drew for Ep7, not necessarily 8 or 9. He might do stuff in the meantime that will make him ideal, for all I now.

I will never, ever like Whedon's style. I get why those who like it love him, I respect him for it, I'm just not a fan. Not one bit.

With Peter Jackson...while I did like The Hobbit, it did suffer from pacing issues and drawn-out scenes just to milk the time.

I really think Jackson was in his prime with LOTR. He would'nt be a good fit NOW for Star Wars. He seems like a good guy and the crew loves him, but he's also suffering from 'No One can say No to Me' syndrome, when successful people are surrounded by Yes Men. I personally think there's always a limit in total control and its okay for someone say 'no' to a guy like Jackson once in a while. It's only healthy.

But ill give credit when credit is due: Jackson has accomplished a lot with LOTR, coming from the world of horror to epic fantasy. I respected what he has done especially after watching the special features on the Extended Cuts of each film.

Ok, lets settle this and agree that Alfonso Cuaron would be amazing for Epsiode 7.

Agreed. Wow, why the eff didn't I think of him before?

People were clamouring over his busy buddy G. Del Toro that's why!

Cuaron is pretty much done with Gravity at this point so he's freed up for the rest of the year. He's perfect for Star Wars if you want someone who's prolific and renowned. Plus he's versatile and can handle visual effects.

I'd more than welcome Cuaron for any and all Episodes. In fact, I'd bribe and murder to get him to the director's chair.

Yes same here

I would also like to nominate Bowie Jr himself: Duncan Jones. But his girlfriend almost had a breast cancer scare in which they quickly got married (Very enduring) before she got the results done. (I think she's fine thankfully) So I think he's probably will take a break until he's ready so I doubt he's in the running.

I've wanted Duncan Jones for Ep7 since it was announced, so fine by me.

PS: F**king cancer.

Nighty night. I hope you have wet Hayden dreams!

I'm hoping by the end of the month we hear something official.

I would love to see Del Toro as the director of a SW film as well.

He said he's too busy. I would have loved his Harry Potter, Hobbit and Star Wars.

I would almost be willing to bet it's Vaughn. That being said I'd be totally fine with that. Loved what he did with X-Men: FC and Kick Ass.

I honestly don't rate Vaughn very highly. I don't think he really did anything special with First Class.

I'm guessing we get an announcement next week?

Other than the dynamic between Dat Fass and McAvoy I ****ing agree with you.

People bring up First Class and Kick-Ass all the time. But it's Stardust that really shows off his qualities for Star Wars

Eh, it was all right. He doesn't strike me as having a trademark style.
