The third season would take place one year after the second season, during the summer of 1985.

The couples are still dating.

Steve Harrington will have a bigger role in season 3 and there will be more dad Steve magic.

Back to the Future will be a reference in the new season which begins filming soon.

But i would like me some real Back in to the Future stuff like time traveling in Stranger Things. They are already an homage behemoth like no one else on TV, so why not go for it?

They are playing 13/14 years olds and are all around that age or a couple years older so they are fine.

They can always just time jump a couple years if the kids start to look more mature.

Ya know what I love about the final scene in Stranger Things 2? To me, it's like a really cool way of using the old 80s sequel tagline...

"This time it's personal".

But what what happens with that growth spurt and suddenly one is 6'3 and the others are 5'7 or their voices super deep. But I guess that's the risks with kid/pre-teen actors.

I kinda am good with season 3, but planning ahead to season 5 may seem too much for the creators and Netflix.
