I think it would have been a great easter egg/reference if the boys from the orphanage that Blake [BLACKOUT]selects to spread the news about the bridge[/BLACKOUT] were named Richard, Jason, Tim and Damian. :p

Oh, and Robin's R, seen in the second trailer, isn't in the film.

Sorry haven't been following the threads, if that is true
I honestly cannot see myself enjoying the movie!

Oh hush. If you haven't been following the threads enough to know more details then that, then you should probably wait and see. [blackout]After all, you've named yourself after a series where Batman has a young successor.[/blackout]

Thanks for the [blackout]balaclava answer[/blackout] (wow those tags are a trouble to write out over my phone). I stopped following the production after December.

Speaking of John Blake character - I totally agree with Shape :) such iteration of Robin in Nolanverse pays a well-deserved trubute to the relevance of this character within DC mythology;

Is it ever explained, where the unnamed prisoner got his nick from (Bane)? I presume his true identity is not revealed?

I still think it would have been great if only his [blackout]actual name wasn't "Robin". That sounds like bad fanfic.[/blackout]

But little things like that don't ruin a film. I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow night.

Does the scene in the Gotham Stock Exchange include a shot of two people walking up the stairs and past a janitor?

This might sound odd to some people, I just want to know if that scene which was shot is in there. It may have been an establishing shot. 100 thanks to whoever answers this seemingly absurd but beyond hyped question for me.

Yes. The janitor is [BLACKOUT]one of Bane's mercs.[/BLACKOUT]

Just for clarification. And just so I don't get my hopes up. My question is if you see the two people walking up the stairs and past him, not the janitor himself. If so, I am in the movie. Kinda why it's absurd question lol. Really minor detail, but really at the forefront of my mind. :woot:

We see the two people walk down a flight of stairs and past the janitor but I think that's it...

I think that's probably Nolan's way of assuring us that
Blake is not the new Batman

Which imo is a good idea.

Is everyone else mad about
Blake being Robin?

I was sure it wouldn't happen I thought it was disproved, so it surprised me.

I'm not sure when/ how I formed this opinion (pretty sure it was an interview with Nolan) but I like to think of these movies as the 'real life adventures' that inspired the comics, basically a reverse influence thing. 'Well Bane in the comics was depicted as eight foot tall but in reality he was Batman's height' is kind of the idea I'm going for here. Yes these movies in our time are released AFTER the books.... I'm not articulating this well. Anybody get what I'm saying?

I really like that way of looking at it.

Is there any type of ambiguity concerning

[BLACKOUT]Bruce's fate[/BLACKOUT]

or does it shove the answer right in your face and makes you 100% certain what's what?

[blackout]Alfred sees him at a cafe with Selina Kyle. He leaves the Batcave with John Blake so he can move on with his life.[/blackout]

Hey guys nice for sharing spoilers with us. TDKR will only be here next week and I can't wait so if you don't mind i have some questions, sorry if those were already answered
1- Is Miranda's reveal as Talia somewhat similar to Ducard's reveal as Ra's al ghul in batman begins?

2- Does Gordon die? If so, how?

3- The 8 year gap between TDK and TDKR starts immediately when TDKR begins or sometime in the middle of the movie?

4- Bruce wayne using a crane and limping is because of Bane or because of the fall he took in the end of TDK?

@Sargerus

1- Is Miranda's reveal as Talia somewhat similar to Ducard's reveal as Ra's al ghul in batman begins?
Yes.

2- Does Gordon die? If so, how?
Gordon lives.

3- The 8 year gap between TDK and TDKR starts immediately when TDKR begins or sometime in the middle of the movie?
The scene at the end of TDK showing Gordon standing in front of the picture of Dent (during the day) is the first scene then it cuts to the prologue which I think is set 6 months before the actual movie. But yes, the film starts 8 years later.

4- Bruce wayne using a crane and limping is because of Bane or because of the fall he took in the end of TDK?
The fall. For some reason his leg doesn't heal and he uses a mechanism to help his leg when he decides to return as Batman. As far as I can remember he doesn't use it after his back his broken, it wasn't shown anyway.

Questions for those who can answer them :yay:
1. How much screentime does Batman have?
2. What are Talia's last words?
3. What are the most emotional scenes?
4. The most violent scene?
5. Do the people of Gotham know that Bruce was Batman?
Thanks :yay:

3. & 4. for me was [blackout]the sewer fight... The prison scenes were kinda emotional because Bruce was in a lot of pain.[/blackout]
5. [blackout]No, but some citizens (e.g. Gordon and John Blake) figure out who he is.[/blackout]
