Same goes for Bane. He never defeated Batman as he would eventually need Talia to rescue him later on.. :whatever::whatever::whatever:

Yeah, but I would've liked to see Batman get out of it himself. He has all that crap on him and was just tied up with a rope. #weak

You knew staright away Bane wasn't gonna be Ra's Al Ghul's son. Nolan even showed AND told us this in that prison scene a good hour before the film ended. Do you think it was intentional from him to give away this point? It surely should have been something Bruce should have picked up on. It's flat out revealed that Bane isn't Ra's son in the Bruce/Conti prison backstory scene.

Wayne is only told the story, we are shown it because we have that available to us

So how many spoilers were out there prior to release? I'm not talking a couple weeks before, I'm talking months before and back during filming. And if so, how many of them were true? I'm curious now.

well there's Tate being Talia.
There's Bane being defeated in City Hall and Talia stabbing Batman in the back
Crane as the judge in the court
lots of rumors about Blake becoming the next Batman or being Robin but not any solid spoilers.
Talia being the kid in the prison and the only one to climb out.
The court exiling people by forcing them onto the frozen river.
Batman hooking the Bat up to the bomb and flying away with it and even spoiling the kiss before he leaves.

You seem to have forgot he was stabbed too.

Well if you guys didn't want to read spoilers you should have stayed away before the film, no matter how tempting.

[BLACKOUT]I knew Talia was Ras' daughter, but Mirand did such a good job and was Tate throughout the whole film that I thought Nolan actually wrote her out and did make Bane his son. My fanboy and Batman knowledge actually left for a while which I'm happy.[/BLACKOUT]

So despite knowing that Gotham has only a few hours remaining, Batman thinks "I know, I'll spend what must be a considerable amount of time painting a giant bat symbol in petrol on the side of this building, with a line leading down on to the ice. Hopefully Gordon will throw a flare on it. It may be a massive waste of time, but it will be cool."

Really? REALLY!?

HA, I thought that too lol. I was thinking dang that must have taken a lot of work to make that symbol

Then I remember that this is freaking Batman and he can do that lol.:oldrazz:

Really dude? You're nitpicking over that?.......seriously?

It's not "nitpicking", it's highlighting one of the many gaping plot holes in this film. It wasn't the worst, but it was pretty stupid.

No...it's nitpicking. That was not a plot hole. Damn some of you people need to sit back and enjoy the movie and not pick out every little detail about it. **** watching movies must be a chore for some of you.

Oh get a grip, I'm allowed to criticise. It doesn't mean I don't like anything about a movie. I really enjoyed TDKR, but I don't have to love it or hate it. It's fine to say "such and such was great, but this part was a bit silly". And no, it was a plot hole. Not a major one. I don't need it explained to understand the movie. It was just silly. It would have been the last thing on Batman's mind, and a massively impractical waste of time.

I thought it was to let Gotham know that he was back and to give them heart before the coming fight.
That's exactly why it was in there....Im not even going to bother arguing about it though.

Alot of people on here just like picking the film apart to death. This could be done with any of the Nolan movies and any movie in general. I've seen some insanely ridiculous nitpicks on here, most of which are explained by paying attention to the movie.

Does anyone else think that

Ra's al Ghul's cameo in the movie provides a very clever way of making him "immortal" in Nolan's realistic Batverse....that he's not immortal in the corporeal sense but he lives on in the memories of the people he has affected (most especially with Bruce as displayed through his dream/hallucination sequence), and through the fact that his goal of destroying Gotham lived on through Talia, Bane, and the League of Shadows? For me that was a very ingenious way of making him "immortal".

Like Mr. Freeze would basically be a guy walking around with a liquid nitrogen canister.

A knife through batman's rib cage does not make him "#weak". He is human after all.

Does this - "Batman going out of his way to make a fire Bat symbol" affect the plot in anyway shape or form?

No. Therefore not a PLOThole.

I agree with the immortal things you were saying Kommander. "Is his methods not supernatural." lol.

You need to figure out what plot hole means.

It's certainly not a major issue, but if you think about it for one second it's obvious that it would take a huge amount of effort and would be massively impractical, even for Batman. There would have been better ways to do this. He could have attached one of banes goons to a spotlight a la Batman Begins. It may not technically be a "plot hole", but that doesn't make it any less stupid.

Jeez. Would you prefer a scene of Bruce setting it up?

How about a scene of Bruce parking 'The Bat' in that alley? Or a scene that shows just how Bruce got back to Gotham all the way from the prison?

This nitpicking is getting...I dont even know what to say.

I think a short scene of Bruce staring intently out the window of a plane back to the USA would've been nice. But I don't hold it against the movie for not having a transition scene like that. Pacing needs to be considered, and the movie is long enough as it is at 2 hours, 45 minutes. I really did not need to see Bruce stumbling around a Middle Eastern town looking for transportation, or anything not dirctly related to the plot.

So what you're saying is that you would like to see a more efficient Batman? Sounds pretty stupid to me.

Batman could of easily flooded the atom bomb 3 years ago and we wouldn't have watch TDKS.

You are also forgetting that we didn't see any of the main characters having breakfast, lunch, and or dinner. We also didn't see their bowl movements after big fights. We never saw the doctor bill after getting his knees checked. And we yet still don't know what Batman is allergic to.

Yes I would, because THEY MAKE NO SENSE! Call it nitpicking if you want, but this movie had way too many of those WTF moments. One or two is fine, but there are so many that it beggars belief.

I know many people here take great offence at criticism of these movies, but just suck it up. The simple fact is I had very high expectations for this film, and it rarely lived up to them. That may be my fault, but they were expectations based on BB and TDK. There were some great moments, but the problems were just too numerous. Some, like the flaming bat symbol, were minor irritations because of their stupidity, others were much more serious technical issues, or gaping plot holes.
