You are also forgetting that we didn't see any of the main characters having breakfast, lunch, and or dinner. We also didn't see their bowl movements after big fights. We never saw the doctor bill after getting his knees checked. And we yet still don't know what Batman is allergic to.

Actually, an explanation of how the hell Bane eats would have been nice. :oldrazz:

Yes I would, because THEY MAKE NO SENSE! Call it nitpicking if you want, but this movie had way too many of those WTF moments. One or two is fine, but there are so many that it beggars belief.

I know many people here take great offence at criticism of these movies, but just suck it up. The simple fact is I had very high expectations for this film, and it rarely lived up to them. That may be my fault, but they were expectations based on BB and TDK. There were some great moments, but the problems were just too numerous. Some, like the flaming bat symbol, were minor irritations because of their stupidity, others were much more serious technical issues, or gaping plot holes.

You're failing because you think that every other movie or filmmaker would have shown him putting the bat in the alley or taking a Delta flight to Gotham. It's so ridiculous I can't begin to explain how stupid this is. It makes plenty of sense. People act like its logistically impossible to ever get from India (or wherever) to the states, and they need to see it done.

Please, I'd love to hear about these gaping plot holes or technical issues you speak of. I'm all ears.

It's perfectly fine to dislike the film. It's not okay to spread filth and nonsense like this around the world. People are going to hear you speak it or write it and think it's fact, which is horrifying.

This is one thing I don't understand either, how did Alfred know so much about Bane?

What is it with Butlers in the 3rd movie spilling out all these details? LOL

First Bernard from "Spider-man 3" and now Alfred.

Oh get a grip, I'm allowed to criticise. It doesn't mean I don't like anything about a movie. I really enjoyed TDKR, but I don't have to love it or hate it. It's fine to say "such and such was great, but this part was a bit silly". And no, it was a plot hole. Not a major one. I don't need it explained to understand the movie. It was just silly. It would have been the last thing on Batman's mind, and a massively impractical waste of time.

Batman says he is a symbol countless times in the film, so when he takes the time to make a giant symbol for the people of gotham to realize they aren't out of hope yet, i think it makes fairly logical sense.

Nothing was more mind numbingly ridiculous then Harry's butler who had 4 seconds of screen time throughout the trilogy being the guy to tell Harry everything.

by the way dont know where IMDB sourced this but in the FAQ they say the prison was in Mexico so that makes it a little easier than India.

'filth and nonsense'? Calm down and stop being dramatic.
Gotham is in lockdown, no way in or out, yet bruce somehow strolls across very thin ice, stopping to pick up a spare batsuit on the way and paint (how???) a giant flammable batsign on an adjacent building? It's just lazy, bad writing.

As for technical issues, Bane was very hard to understand as was Gordon in much of his hospital scenes.

Plot holes: How does Selina know Bruce is Batman? How did batman suddenly get out the bat and escape without anyone noticing? I know its 'on autopilot' but he is shown flying it until a few seconds before the bomb detonates. So what he survives a nuclear blast and swims back to shore? I could go on...

Gotham was getting supplies, speial forces got in, i imagine wayne found a way too. see my symbol post for the flames

yes i had a hard time getting a lot of bane's and gordon's dialogue but its easier upon a 2nd seeing... especially in imax

bane tells batman let's skip the eremonies mr. wayne in front of catwoman.. there's a giant eplosion for seemingly no reason before he gets out to the bay, maybe he is diverting there? it was an editing trickery that showed him still in there...

maybe watch the movie again instead of looking for flaws and just enjoy it?

Selina heard bane call batman "mr wayne" during the sewer fight. I have no answer for the bomb one though.

Im sure you could write a better movie then Nolan...

Bane wasn't hard to understand at all. Either you were in a crappy theater or you didn't pay attention.

Bruce hints at it throughout the movie by saying Batman is his friend, you'd have to be an idiot not to deduce he is Batman.Somebody can see a 6 foot tall man escaping from 20 miles away? Was Clark Kent on the bridge because thats the only way somebody could see that. it was cut that way for dramatic effect.

You're the type of person that needs everything spelled out for you and has to see every tiny detail. Like I said before watching movies must be a chore for you. Stick to books.

1. Selina heard Bane call Batman "Mr. Wayne".

2. Bruce first appeared back into Gotham in the Selena "Red Apple" scene. This is where he asked to take him to Lucius in which Lucius takes Bruce to get the suit and supplies.

3. The bomb has a 6 mile radius. Which means Batman had to take it even farther than that. He was flying too far away for the human eye to see. Batman obviously had some kind of under water device to avoid the explosion. Sounds like you're lacking some kind of imagination.

4. Lazy and bad writing? Why don't you come up with your own Batman movie. :007

Er no, I don't need things spelled out for me. If a flaw jumps out at me, it's because it could be easily corrected and has just been ignored. Nolan is a good film maker but he is not as amazing as he is made out to be. I have seen the film once so may not remember all the details. Also, the issues with banes voice have been a very common complaint.

yeah it's painful but he can do it.
Right because the mask delivers an anesthetic so after he takes it off he would be in pain but he would have to eat.

You know Nolan is a director that likes to leave things for the audience themselves to interpret what happens. You're complaining about the most trivial things or things that have been explained in the movie.

any line of Bane's that is necessary to hear is audible... everything else you are able to put 2 and 2 together in those instances.

Yes you are right about the apple scene but that doesn't change anything I said about his return or the bat symbol. Batman didn't 'obviously' have anything. If you have to invent explanations, then there was probably a bit of a plot hole you have to fill. And I don't have to have written a batmam movie to point out flaws with someone elses.

I actually meant to ask how bane knows who batman is, it's very late!

Also, Gordon flat out declares at the start that there is some level of cover up regarding dent and NOBODY questions it?

Everyone keeps saying this. MERE henchman? Yes he was beneath Talia, rank-wise (I suppose) but the guy was FAR more than just a mere henchman. Did we watch the same movie?
She tells him not to kill Bruce and the second she's gone he puts a shotgun to Bruce's head in total defiance of her "orders".
He may love Talia but he obviously plays by his own rules. Oh and he owns his own prison.

Yeah he wasn't a mere henchmen, he was a partner in crime. He does seem like he was taking order though, but probably only because he cared for her.

Anyway, there was really nothing special about her. Bane was obviously far more intimidating both in personality and physicality.

Overall, the writing and execution of their relationship is just too poorly done. Look at the "The World Is Not Enough" and the Elektra/Renard to see how to do this kind of a story right. Both characters and their relationship got put over without having to compromise the integrity of the other.

we aren't seeing a full year or anything so who knows maybe there is some Anderson Cooper journalist that is looking into things but he keeps hitting walls with his investigation as the only two people who know about it are gordon and batman...

honestly the Bane knowing Wayne was a valid point but again, the symbol of batman was what was important to Wayne, that's why he lit the fire... yes it is mostly symbolic in the film but wayne wanted the people of gotham to believe.

adding a scene showing bruce's journey to gotham only extends and already long film and adds unnecessary fat to the film.

just thinking about it, maybe Ra's Al Ghul told Bane about a detractor from the league of shadows

1. Selina knew Bruce was Batman because of Bane's Mr. Wayne comment, plus other hints throughout the film.

2. The camera shot was far enough out for him to jump out at a certain point and swim back. Plus, it was edited that way for suspense and emotion. He doesn't get hit by the blast, which went off in the air, with him underwater for enough time to dodge it or far enough away from it.

Also, Gordon flat out declares at the start that there is some level of cover up regarding dent and NOBODY questions it?

He didn't flat out say that. He said that one day he'll tell the truth about Dent, as opposed to a cover up. Basically, people in the crowd, who have been living under this lie for eight years, see it as him saying "one day I'll give you the full story," with them assuming what happened to Dent was made pretty ambiguous to everyone out of respect for Dent's privacy. Of course, as the viewer, we know what he truly meant with his words.

Also, people have been complaining about the whole bat symbol on the bridge thing, but the whole point behind that was to give the people hope, to show that the city's hero is back. Was it a bit contrived? Sure. But it's certainly not a plot hole, and it does play a role in the story. He obviously didn't have a random giant signal light lying around, so he worked with what he had.

Simply, the movie would have been tighter, had more weight, not cheapened certain scenes had Nolan simply CUT the cafe scene

Bane knows Wayne is Batman because the entire League of Shadows knew Wayne was Batman. Talia also knew that Batman killed her father. I don't see how Bane wouldn't know Batman was Bruce Wayne.

I disagree. I was glad to see Bruce live on to have a happy ending.
