How is it a question "how Bane and Catwoman knew Bruce was Batman?"

Are you serious guys? Did you guys NOT watch the movie?

Talia al Ghul was the boss. She and Bane ran the League of Shadows. Talia's father was Ra's al Ghul and he knew that Bruce was Batman. Ra's told Talia -- Talia told Bane. You really need that spelled out for you?

How did Selina know? Well -- 1.) She hears Bane call Batman, "Mr. Wayne," and 2.) she sees Bane TAKE BATMAN'S MASK OFF.

How are these actual questions. There have been pages dedicated to this nonsense.

 It seems most of these "problems" people point out are due to them not paying attention.

This is one thing I don't understand either, how did Alfred know so much about Bane?

I have explained it some pages back, Bane is a criminal who is wanted by CIA and other international agencies, they keep a profile and details of him, Batman ( and Alfred) regularly read their files.

In the movie it is heavily implied that Alfred collects the info about Bane from the intelligence records of various departments. Alfred does that all the time in Comics.

Is really that difficult to imagine, or Nolan should have explicitly shown that, but then again some say they doing that means unnecessary spoon feeding the viewers, Nolan just can't win ?

He can't win. If he showed us everything in detail people would have said it was redundant and made the movie drag and now that he didnt do that its because the movie had lazy writing.

Lets face it people this was never going to be better or as good as TDK but it's still a damn good movie and miles above the other superhero movies that came out in the last four years.

DOES ANYONE WISH:

That as the final moments of the film were playing -- from when Alfred locks eyes with Bruce we heard this voice over from Bruce Wayne as we see the last minute of film....

INT. CAVE - DAY

Blake wades, knee deep, in the splashing pools of the cave...

WAYNE (V.O)
As a man, I'm flesh and blood. I can be ignored, I can be destroyed...

The ground shutters and moves. Blake falters for a step. Regaining his balance -- continuing deeper into the cave.

WAYNE (V.O. Cont'd)
But as a symbol -- As a symbol, I can be incorruptible.

The ground beneath Blake rises. Slowly. Water drains off as the platform continues upwards, filling the screen.

WAYNE (V.O. Cont'd)
I can be everlasting...

Cut to Black.

Credits.

End.

I just feel like that would have knocked it out of the park -- drilling home the point of the film and bringing it full circle to Batman Begins.

Thoughts?

Or that voice over when Gordon looks at the new Bat Signal.

That would have been pretty cool and driven the point of Batman in this trilogy even further home.

I remember when people dreamed about Batman standing at the Wayne grave site. When I saw Blake enter the Batcave, I was actually expecting that to be the last shot. Just the silhouette of Batman in front of the graves. That would've been cool, but what we got was pretty awesome also :yay:

No, that would have been on the nose and just beat us over the head with it. We're smart enough to think back to it. It's better to imagine it in our heads. The scene already suggests that quote and it's not just exclusive to that quote.

Yeah, that quote doesn't sound like a good way to end it and it would be a downgrade to Gordon's speech at the end of Dark Knight. Nothing said but Hans Zimmer's music was epic enough.

can someone explain how he managed to get out of that pit and then back to Gotham?

i mean, obviously I know how he got out of the pit, but it seems unlikely that he would just be able to prance right back into gotham

Dude did you miss the scene? Alfred picks him up via plane and flies him back to Gotham. He lands discretely right outside Gotham and Bruce sneaks his way back onto the Island and tells Alfred to leave the city.

He's Batman. I'm sure he can find a way into Gotham given that it is a huge city.

okay, I know that didnt happen. just wondering if there was something said that explained that.

I suppose, but it just seems far-fetched to think that someone who has spent months in that pit, climbs out to find himself who knows where with no resources able to even get back there in the first place

Bruce Wayne is a rich man, he is also Batman that makes plans for some un foreseen emergencies, he must have made many bank accounts with fake names all over the world, just in case he wants to go in hiding, that would have provided him the money needed to come back to Gotham (or some place in US that is near Gotham)

The end scenes at the cafe with Bruce and Selina together, shows that he is not using his true identity but still he looks wealthy enough , where did the money come from ? From his bank accounts he made using fake credentials.

Is anyone else really annoyed at how they just made Bane an irrelevance after the Talia reveal? She's such an awful character, whereas Bane was genuinely intriguing.
I simply can't forgive this film for making Bane a goon for someone else. I had hoped that Nolan understood the character better than that.

I can't stand Bane. Period. I find Talia much more intriguing. I wish Bane had not been in the film at all. I would have been able to enjoy it more than I did.

Bane was not a goon for Talia. This isn't the Bane and Poison Ivy relationship where Bane just does what she wants.

They were partners. Basically family if you will.

Also, people have been complaining about the whole bat symbol on the bridge thing, but the whole point behind that was to give the people hope, to show that the city's hero is back. Was it a bit contrived? Sure. But it's certainly not a plot hole, and it does play a role in the story. He obviously didn't have a random giant signal light lying around, so he worked with what he had.

I think people were wondering how Batman managed to place the burning bat symbol in the tower in the first place, or at least how he had the time to do it.

I think it's safe to assume that the only explanation is this: he's Batman. :cwink:

Another: Does Selina ever refer to Juno Temple's character by name? I don't remember any 'Jen,' so I assume she's just Holly? Yes, no?

She is never referred to by name. Her last scene was when she gives Selina a hug, because Selina was disturbed at how people were looting the homes of the rich. It isn't implied she's a prostitute, more like a pickpocket.

Juno Temple as Selina's side-kick was a nod to Kitrina character from comics.
