Are you guys still crying about how Bruce got back to Gotham? Wow... Get over it. You'll never find out. So make up your own theory of how a NINJA snuck back into the city.

'filth and nonsense'? Calm down and stop being dramatic.
Gotham is in lockdown, no way in or out, yet bruce somehow strolls across very thin ice, stopping to pick up a spare batsuit on the way and paint (how???) a giant flammable batsign on an adjacent building? It's just lazy, bad writing.

As for technical issues, Bane was very hard to understand as was Gordon in much of his hospital scenes.

Plot holes: How does Selina know Bruce is Batman? How did batman suddenly get out the bat and escape without anyone noticing? I know its 'on autopilot' but he is shown flying it until a few seconds before the bomb detonates. So what he survives a nuclear blast and swims back to shore? I could go on...

No you can't. You obviously weren't paying attention he met up with fox before meeting Gordon idiot. That's how he got the suit. It shows it in the movie. Selina hears Bane call batman mr Wayne and has a surprised look on her face. That's in the movie too.
And pay close attention here. The events of the last 11 minutes of the bomb are movie magic. Take a timer with you and time when it shows the 11 minutes on the bomb. And how it relates to what's really going on in the movie... It's a movie dude. He jumped out when he jumped out. Get over it.

How did John blake know Bruce was leaving the board meeting? . He just happen to be there while his car is being towed I don't hear you complaining about that.

Yes. You are being nitpicky and unnappreciative of the movie.

Just got back from seeing the movie and I'm speechless. It's an absolutely incredible movie, and I'm totally satisfied at how it was ended. [BLACKOUT]Alfred at the grave[/BLACKOUT] tore me up, and it made me tear up. I kind of felt sorry for Bane. Batman's voice was awesome! The look on Batman's/Bruce's face when [BLACKOUT]Talia revealed who she was[/BLACKOUT], said it all. He had a look of betrayal/shock/sadness. I know this is all a jumbled mess, but it's all a big mess in my brain and it needs to soak for a while. :woot: I'm going to see it again on Monday. I hear that it's better during the second viewing. All I have to say is 'Well done Nolan.....well done!'

Yet another example of "someone found issues with my precious movie, I'll be rude to them on teh internetz". Pathetic.

Of course there will be things I missed on the first viewing that other didn't, but most of the problems are things which jumped out at me and the best explanations people seem to have "OMG you must be stupid" or "use your imagination". There is a big difference between a film maker wanting you to make up your own mind about something and a dirty great big plot hole or stupid action by a character.

At the press conference a few weeks ago, a woman asked a spoiler-ish question that made Nolan mad. Anyone know what she asked?

Agreed, Nolan deserves our thanks.

I am not saying that this was a flawless movie or that this is Nolan's best but it is a great Batman movie.

You clearly weren't paying attention to those details, though. Bruce met with Lucius and they had a spare Batsuit ready to go. Selina found out the true identity of Batman at the beginning of the first confrontation between Bane and Batman.

I'm not being defensive with this post -- I'm just saying you have to really look for the answers yourself before you create more questions.

1. When the batman use the Bat to take the bomb to the sea, there is a fast, moving spot flying from the left side toward the middle of the screen. (I checked it 4 times, it can be seen only IMAX theater)

2.There is a unexpected name in the special cast: Henry Cavill.

I think that's why the batman survived the explosion.

I have been patiently answering many of the questions posted here for last two days, not all people are calling other posters stupid for asking questions, but you should know that some people keep repeating the same questions over and over again even when a satisfactory answer is given.

As I said quite a while back it was 3am and I meant to ask how does Bane know batman's identity. It's not enough to just say he's league of shadows, because bane was seemingly not around at the time of BB. The same is true of John Blake, his explanation of how he knew Batman's identity was very weak.

That may be true but I've been deliberately avoiding the place for fear of spoilers. I don't believe these questions have been given satisfactory answers. Not everyone here is being rude, but there are many who simply can't deal with a negative review and act like I'm a leper, when in fact there seem to be a lot of people elsewhere on these boards who have been profoundly disappointed with this movie.

I see. I mean, by nature, one can just assume that Ra's al Ghul's death in Gotham City created a buzz within the League of Shadows, and all of that talk should especially go to Talia, who is in contact with Bane.

And don't worry, I also thought Blake's explanation was a little weak. A user here, Ultimatehero, convinced me otherwise. I still think they could've elaborated on it more besides the orphan connection.

Talia (daughter of Ras Al Ghul) and Bane are partners of League of Shadows, Talia joins Wayne Enterprises as Miranda Tate to learn more about Bruce Wayne's secret power project as she knows who Bruce Wayne is (Batman).

Since Taila is in love with Bane and she knows about Bruce Wayne's true identity as Batman (I assume that Ra's told this secret to some other LOS member who in turn passed on the information about Bruce to Talia) and then Taila tells this to Bane.

Taila wants to take revenge on Bruce for killing her father, Bane hates batman as he was his best student, Taila also wants to complete the task of destroying Gotham City which Ras wanted to do but failed. (Bane supports Taila in all her decisions.)

Bane's secret ambition was to become a revolutionary dictator, and he sees a perfect opportunity to practice his skills in Gotham even if that City was going to be reduced to ashes in a few months time.

Edit: This movie is not without flaws, John Blake deducing the identity of batman was a stupid plot point, even though it was a nod to how Tim Drake (third Robin, before he became Robin.) found out about Bruce Wayne being Batman in comics

^^ I wouldn't say Talia was in love with Bane. But I think he was in love with her.

Do you guys think Bruce should have told Alfred ahead of time about how he was going to fake his death or at least not long after?

I mean he's a very old guy and to be put through those emotions he could have died no?

Does anyone think that had Harvey Dent survived TDK and Bruce and Gordon still kept him locked away deep in Arkham or something that it might have played out better with him as the judge in the kangaroo court? That whole idea is clearly drawn from NML and Two-Face's "trial" of Jim Gordon...

It was a bit insensitive on part of Bruce not to let Alfred know that he was safe, but then director wanted us (and people in the Gotham) that Bruce was dead .

Bruce is a smart guy.

He knew that Alfred, in his absence would continue to holiday in that area that he said he fantasized seeing Bruce growing old with a wife and family... Bruce didn't retire to this area by accident. He did so -- and probably frequented that cafe just so that he would fulfill Alfred's wish (ultimately showing him that he does love him and that the fight they had is behind them).

Plus, there is the matter of the missing pearls. The pearls have a tracking device -- and Alfred knows how to follow it. The pearls were still missing -- meaning Selina had them. She probably had them for the purpose of leading Alfred to Bruce.

At the press conference a few weeks ago, a woman asked a spoiler-ish question that made Nolan mad. Anyone know what she asked?

It was in regards to Tate/Talia from what I can remember.

Questions:

1. What did Ras do to be sent to the pit? Who sent him there, and who was in charge of the pit? And why did he not go, but his pregnant wife?

2. Why was Bane so attached to Talia in the prison? Why was he the protector?

3. Why did the prisoners attack Talia (who was just a little boy looking child) and Bane?

4. If Talia/Bane's end game was to destroy Gotham with the nuke, why not just detonate the trigger earlier? And if they couldn't have, where in the movie do we learn they couldn't?

5. Why did Bane say he was apart of the League of Shadows, rather that he WAS the League of Shadows, when he was actually exiled by them?

6. I feel like I am missing the whole point of Bruce escaping the pit. What was the meaning, both literal and underlying, of not using the rope?

7. In the end, are the pearls with the tracker in the Batcave to lead JGL, or with Bruce to lead Alfred?

Why is Bruce re-entering Gotham after lockdown such a big leap of faith? I don't remember people complaining about Batman sneaking past all the guests at the party and jokers thugs to deliver the "then you're gonna love me line"?

1.) I believe Ra's took the lover of a great Warlord or offended the Warlord in someway and was going to be sentenced to the Pit. At the last minute, the Warlord thought it more punishing to sentence the woman to the Pit with her unborn child and to exile Ra's.

2.) Bane protected Talia because he probably saw himself in her. He was also "born and raised in hell on earth", and "born in darkness." Safe to say he was also born in the prison. He probably saw that she was an innocent victim and wanted to protect her innocence as much as possible. She was his Osito if you get the comic reference.

3.) The prisoners in the Pit at that time were more hardened and cut-throat evil. The prisoners while Wayne is in the Pit are mostly Bane's prisoners...mostly good people who stood in his way. At the time that Bane and Talia were in the prison these men were monsters. They murdered Talia's mother in cold-blood and were willing to do the same to Talia. Bane fought them off to protect her and was a victim of their wrath as a result.

4.) They weren't always planning to nuke the city. They legitimately wanted to see the civil upheaval and chaos that would occur in the city. Listen to Bane's speech at the Football Stadium. He tells them to take control of their city OR ELSE they will blow it up. And if they don't take control with in the allotted time frame, the bomb would blow anyway.

5.) He was exiled from the League of Shadows when it was under the leadership of Ra's Al Ghul. Not so anymore. Once Talia took over she made him her second in command and arguably an equal partner. And with his ego and power he WAS the League of Shadows at that point. Still -- you could see he had great respect for Ra's -- probably stemming for his love of his daughter and his desperate need for Ra's' approval that he could never gain...

6.) Bruce moves to Italy and goes to that cafe regularly because he expects Alfred to go there at some point and Bruce wishes to fulfill Alfred's fantasy of seeing Bruce happy. Doing this also shows that Bruce truly loves Alfred and forgives him for the Rachel letter and that he wants to make his old friend happy. He and Selina take the pearls as an insurance policy that Alfred will definitely have a trail to follow. The bag Bruce leaves "Robin" has a piece of paper with coordinates on it, as well as a GPS and grappling hook, etc to get into the BatCave.

Did Nolan get really mad? Do you know what he said, or how he reacted?

I can't find the article that explained it but it said he was very abrupt with her making her feel like an idiot. He said something along the lines of(major paraphrasing here)"are you serious?! Why would you ask/bring that up??" She responded with "well I figured everyone here has already seen the movie". He replys with a smart ass "...who do you think this press report is for". Meaning people in a few days are going to see or read about it.
