Something's off in the audio edit between the "this city needs me" and "I need you to help me get back in the game". I'm thinking those were said at different scenes.

Indeed, they're from different scenes, just going by ear.

Someone should do an edit of Bruce saying "I need you to help me get back in the game" - and then cue the Heinz Field demolition. :funny:

Best Gatorade commercial ever. :wow:

One thing that irked me slightly (and you probably thought about it too)...

"Your wife said you were taking a cab home"

The wife of Bruce Wayne, prince of Gotham? Known by Joe Public as the playboy billionaire who burnt down his own mansion? As expressed in Batman Begins, you'd have to go miles to know somebody who didn't know his name.

Yet this guy seems convinced that Bruce Wayne has a wife? Did she say she was the wife of Bruce Wayne (surely that's the only way he could have recognised Bruce as he was leaving). Would you not think "I didn't hear about a wedding". Unless they came in togther, which they don't. And this guy hands over a car that is worth more than his home to a random stranger, just because she says she's married to Bruce Wayne.

That guy needs to be fired. We need another scene where Bruce reveals that he pays that guys salary. "Oh, you should be able get it back. I own you."

This, however, might highlight something interesting. In the 8 years has Bruce given up on 'keeping up appearances'? Is this why someone like Miranda Tate (rumoured to be Talia Al Ghul) is able to infiltrate Wayne Enterprises, as Bruce isn't paying attention anymore (we can assume he doesn't have her vetted like Lau)? Maybe he has become such as social recluse that people have forgotten about him. But then why would he turn up at a Gala...

my brain hurts.
You're overthinking it. She could easily slip the valet ticket out of his pocket when they were dancing, and claim to be his wife. Remember, he's become a hermit since TDK, it's not unreasonable to assume that someone who is no longer in the public eye that much could have married in secret.

I'm so happy that we're getting a dramatic moment between Fox and Bruce. Even though we know that he's more than that, Fox almost seems to be just there to provide the toys and be a comedic relief in the past 2 movies.

This scene looks so emotional.

Quick, someone answer me the following questions:

- Is Donald Trump currently married?
- If so, what is his wife's name?
- Is Bill Gates currently married?
- If so, what is his wife's name?
- Have either of them been divorced?
- How long have they been married?

To me, Bruce Wayne is a similar public figure to Trump and Gates, with a splash of Brad Pitt/George Clooney thrown in. We know George Clooney isn't married, but we have no idea what his situation will be next month, let alone 8 years from now.

Bruce has remained as private and secluded for 8 years as Bill Gates has lived a private life every day.

On top of that, it's a freakin' bellhop. He's probably a college student who doesn't give a crap about Bruce Wayne. He's trying to pass his Advanced Basket-Weaving class, and feels like a loser at his job.

Lucius Fox looks like he was drinking heavy for these 8 years.

Trump has been married and divorced multiple times. Gates has been married to his wife for a long time.

Can one of the mods erase those idiots who keep posting in the NO DISCUSSION thread from existence? Thanks. :whatever:

Technically we had that with the sonar argument, but I agree..we need a Fox/BRUCE emotional scene.

Yep. Morgan Freeman is fantastic and I'm looking forward to him getting the floor and reminding us how good he is.

Fair enough, but it seems unrealistic that people would not be suspicious by now. Bruce is back - there's a vigilante named Batman in Gotham. Bruce is gone - the vigilante Batman is gone. Bruce returns again - the vigilante Batman is back.

Guys you should be looking out for the "American Cinematographer" magazine. I usually get them at my work to process so if the next issue comes out, hopefully has some TDKR articles plus a lot of BTS photos. The June issue is for the Avengers.

Yeah, very emotional. Can't wait to watch it. I love the way Lucius is holding Bruce's shoulder like he's surprised/happy to see him. "Bruce, oh my god, you still alive!".

I guess Bruce is hiding since he successfully escape Bane's prison. He'll then try to get back in the game by searching for his old allies (Gordon, Lucius).

Thanks for the heads-up!

So, they have the new pic of Bats and the Bat in EW, right or is that the old one?

*currently awaiting some smartypants to make a "I need you to get me back in the game" juxtaposed against some snarky Tony Stark "I make stuff myself" image / video*

RIM - what pic are you talking about?

Sure, but at the end of the day, it's still a comic book movie. Superman's disguise is glasses! You can't take these movies *that* seriously or you'll never enjoy them.

It's like when Gordon's son in Begins ends up being 10 years old in TDK (even though only about 1 year has passed). In Begins Nolan wanted to show that Gordon had a family. Then in TDK, he decided that Gordon's family would have an important role. Can't hold a gun to the head of a 2 year old, so Nolan made his son older. Sure it breaks continuity, but you've got to kind of ignore that stuff and just enjoy the rest of the movie.

Remember in the EW article, they said that Bruce needs to fix his relationship with Fox as well? I think this was him begging Fox to help him out again. It looks like an emotional scene. :hrt: :(

It's no wonder Bane opens up a can on Batman in their first meeting. From the way he looks in this shot, any of us have a good chance of beating him down.
Thanks to these new spots, my excitement for this movie is off the charts.

I still think the best part of the 2 tv spots is that playful ,mischievous look on Anne's face as she's stealing the Lambo. I lol at that one. it was perfect.

Also weren't there 2 social events in the movie? One an honorific for Harvey where they are discussing replacing Gordon and another a masquerade charity event for the orphanage?

Indeed, a good way to tell where this is, is by the clothing.

They're both in heavier clothing which means closer to Winter, so this probably just as Bane's worst is coming to town. I still think this is pre-beatdown/imprisonment though
