Yeah, that's true. Though Neil's tweet made it seem like she was literally going to the edit room to watch it, rather than a theater-type setting.
I honestly didn't see it sounding like going to an edit...but then admittedly I'm more familiar with the process so I probably wouldn't interpret it like that to begin with. It could still be a screening in a smaller facility than a big theater, like with color/mastering QC checks.

YMaybe it was just a screening for her to give the thumbs up on all the dialogue/give a few notes. Really not sure, she's got a very specific job that I wasn't too familiar with previously. Either way I'm assuming what she watched was very close to final.

I really think it's more of a finished showing...as her checking/thumbs up would have already come much earlier when it was ready for that while locking picture. Or if she couldn't make it back then (which is normally part of the job description when she's hired in the first place) they would have found someone else for it instead of waiting so long. But anyway...lucky her for getting a sneak peak.

We're so close though...even with the anticipation, these next two months will fly by....like the Bat! :D

if there is a such "intermission" then don't you think that would be a unique feature to have reported about by now... movie these days don't feature that kind of moment, so that is something to probably i don't know leak from an anon source at WB.... so my guess is no such pause will happen.

New banner really late at night. Hell yeah!

That's a classic Batman pose. Like in BTAS.

It's okay.

Does anyone else feel that a lot of these banners seem particularly 'fan-manip'-ish...and not in a complimentary way? I mean, in that last series of big ones with the debris and all...some rather so-so P-shop work in places.

Now granted, in TDK the main picture of him busting out of the building on the Batpod looked like toy box art....but it just feels more like marketing is scrambling a bit more to recycle and cobble different stuff a bit more hastily on this..with that main 'official' poster being a major red flag. Just feels that way a little to me.

The actual Photoshop work is pretty bad, but the imagery is awesome. That's why I like them.

That does make some sense, yeah. Pretty cool that we have our first semi-official positive review now.

I'm really, really curious about how they're going to project this film in IMAX now if the 3 hour thing is true. I think Rag mentioned something about using a 35mm projector in conjunction with the IMAX footage to split it up. If that were the case though, would you have to wonder if they'd actually project 2/3 of the movie in standard 35mm on an IMAX screen. That doesn't seem right at all. I'm assuming each theater using a second IMAX projector would be too costly...but that seems like the only way to do it properly. Who knows though, IMAX has stake in this, maybe they'd make it happen.

Also, sweet banner :batman:

If it's three hours, probably with an intermission....as I doubt Nolan will purposely keep a running time down to fit a maximum single-reel IMAX running length.

Yeah, the vibes are nice...but the specific craftsmanship leaves some to be desired.

Definitely. But at this point, I don't care how lazy the graphic designers are, the art team is doing an A+ job.

And hey, it's better than nothing, right? :)

I love the new banner!

I trust Nolan implicitly. If he feels that a three hour run time is necessary to tell this story then that's the way to go... but an intermission would definitely take a chunk out of the box office.

Maybe...but not necessarily better than fewer-but-better. But they're not terrible.

Intermission would be kinda epic.

At the same time...I'd rather not have a chance to collect my thoughts during the middle of my first viewing. I love the sensory overload of it all.

Hmm...

But cmon havent we seen everything already? Any film poster that comes out will seem like that...how its used is what counts. I love this Banner its very Batman right out of the comics and its Beautiful. :D TDKR defintily has the best Posters/character Banners/ Tv Spots than any other film this year so far!! IMO at least

There's a lot going on in this movie. 3 hours+ definitely sounds ideal.

Oh yeah. Even 2:40-2:50 makes me happy. I don't think Catwoman's origin is going to be shown to us. One of the magazine interviews mentioned that Anne did a good job hinting at a past that wasn't shown. Bane's origin should be there, though, and that's what I'm intrigued by.

Did this ever get posted here? Shows Blake with a shotgun [BLACKOUT]commandeering a car after his unmarked cop car gets taken out somehow.[/BLACKOUT] The street looks trashed.

Hmm...

Be like the old days...Doctor Zhivago, 2001: A Space Odyssey, etc. Some ay not want the break, but it's part of the event of seeing it in such a format.

The banners are a pick up after that official poster....I'll give them that.
