On the subject of Flashpoint, a user on Twitter by the name of datrinti made this. I must admit, it looks pretty good.

Nice

Man, it would be great to see these two go up against each other to the death on film.

I don't know. The whole "there are two women here so they have to be fighting each other" thing is a bit played out

Played out since when? And certainly hasn't happened all that much, if at all, in this universe.

WW can't fight women because she's a woman =P

Wait she has to fight Circe or Cheetah soon.

DCEU is doomed

Just as an aside, I've seen a ton of people go ga-ga and drool over Amber Heard, but she's never really done it for me. Till now! :hmr:

what exactly is the problem here? The Flash should have been produced to having been released by now. He's like the 3rd/4th biggest hero in DC.

Literally every bit of fiction from Flash Gordon to guardians of the galaxy. And saying it hasn't happened yet so far in this universe isn't that big a deal since there's only been two prominent women in the justice league so far

They are villains, that's different. The idea that two women on the same side would meet up and instantly start pulling each other's hair out is a bit dumb

Genuine question - have you not read Flashpoint?

Lol, like Milk said, have you read or researched what FP is about?

I thought Affleck was only 6'2 while the other 2 guys were 6'4? He looks like the same height.

Yeah Affleck is 6'2, it's just hard to tell since he's on the other side there. He's been seen with Hugh Jackman which confirms it. Don't know why Ben lied/lies, perfect Bruce Wayne height.

Huh?

I disagree strongly.

I think they should closely stick to the Flashpoint story. Keep the Mera/WW stuff, it's awesome.

Anyone who thinks they'll be adapting the "Flashpoint" story panel to panel is setting himself up for disappointment.

I'm willing to bet the film will have little, if anything, to do with the "Flashpoint" from comics.

If nothing else the story has to deal with the DCEU as it IS. That takes a bunch of the characters and subplots and even the full thrust of the story to a degree off the table. I think we should accept this is hopefully going to go the route of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Inspired by the comics in broad strokes (Flash makes a mistake using time travel, tries to fix it, some portion of the film takes us on a tour of a very altered future with the world on the brink and characters vastly altered from what we know...) but quite different in particulars. Like CW this would require perhaps, just perhaps, for it to be a mashup of a solo Flash film and a quasi JL film.

In any case I think tempering expectations is in order until we hear more about what this film is actually going to be.

I thought I remembered Snyder mentioning when he cast Affleck that he was around 6'3" - 6'4".

his IMDB must have been lying for years. I think the tallest he was ever recorded was 6'3

By far the tallest person ever to play Batman though

WB's got balls of steel if they make WW a psychopath after audiences just fell in love with the kind and caring version

The only elements I'm expecting are Flash, Reverse Flash, time travel, saving his mom and Thomas Wayne Batman.

They could just make WW, AM and Mera fight because of different ideologies or territorial disputes etc, it could be a "loose adaptation" after all.

I think they might at least squeeze glorified cameos for AM and WW because they = $$, especially if AM whips Bumblebee's a$$ next year =P

True. If they do do it I can see them working in some 'bookend scenes' somehow showing the 'real' Diana.

Agreed. And if that latest rumor/"leak" is true it will indeed be a mashup of solo Flash and quasi JL film.

CS: In terms of scheduling, I know the Flash movie got delayed after Rick left. How do you deal with that logistically, in terms of booking other films or TV shows when you don’t know quite when Flash might get going again?

Clemons: I am just taking it project by project. I have so many projects in the works that I’m not necessarily gonna be on camera for but I’m producing and writing. I’m kind of filling this space by working on that stuff so when it comes around for Flash I can get our movie done and then I can produce my own stuff. The Flash is gonna be taking up a lot of my time throughout the year acting, so I want to make sure I’m preparing to do the other things I wanna do when it comes to creating and casting! The *****in’ actors I wanna see. I wanna see some sexy black men in a movie, you know what I’m sayin’? Those are the movies I’m gonna make.
CS: So you’re just kind of in a holding pattern right now with everything because of The Flash?

Clemons: Yeah. I’m gonna leave tonight to go film. I’m gonna finish up the year, and then by January if we aren’t gonna go on The Flash I will probably get back to writing and then take a little break.

When was this being a Flashpoint adaptation announced? And did they also give it a release date?
