Thats because unlike TASM,nobody expected anything from a Batman movie so they were surprised when it turned out to be average

I will use your logic...

If BB was average then TASM was utter ****.

If BB was average then TASM was utter ****.
Again just YOUR opinion

One problem with these boards is that everyone states their opinions as if they are facts.

IMHO, both Batman Begins and The Amazing Spiderman are Great films :)

No, no it wasn't.

Where do you get your info from?
The general opinion of the people
Okay maybe not break but atleat match it

And...again, you still defend some poster. I am not comparing anything. Those posters who talked about TAS-M beating TDKR were
Again in terms of expectations and I think TASM has

I mean...if "most people" think this way, then I guess you have asked 7 billion people?
Yeah

Expectations? People expected TAS-M to make MORE domestically. And yah, I get how you don't care for the US, but that's fact. It was expected to make more in the states, and it didn't.
How much more? Maybe 300M
It'll end around 260M so it failed by 40M but exceeded expectations overseas so it more than made up for it

And again...who the hell said it would be Avengers?
Realistically TDKR will end around 1.1Billion
Thats the same amount TDK ended up at(After adjusting for infaltion)(Despite not releasing in China)
Thats disappointing
Even after being terrible SM3 grossed more than SM2

Hah! Without BB there wouldn't be a TAS-M, fact.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

That post is seriously too stupid to even reply
Spider man movies will always keep coming,BB has nothing to do with that
Next you will BB will end world hunger
Dude its a average movie at best.As I said,it has less flaws compared to TASM but TASM's highs are a lot lot more enjoyable than BB

I like how it's my opinion when I say this movie was mediocre but people can call BB **** and average and people line up behind them.

SOOOOOOOOOO...... how about the B..O.?

The nature of TAS-M is because off BB. FACT. A reboot would have just been as giddy as Raimi's without Nolan's inspiration reboot.

No Because they wanted to be different from Raimi's Spidey
Reboots are like that, they try to distinguish themselves from the previous franchise
Schumacher's Batman was way different from Burton's,Nolan's Batman was way different from Schumacher
Going by MOS's Teaser,it gives you a clear idea that they are trying to be different
Similarly Webb's Spider-man was meant to different from Raimi's

And without Raimi there would be no Begins.

You never know what Anno will say next.
I think it'll be 'Its because of Batman and Robin that SM1 existed, they copied its fun tone' FACT

That is absurd...

Sorry but no...they obviously took something from Spiderman, im not expert but they certainly did with the origin story elements and the love interest (even if they forced Nolan to do it) maybe the humor idk and seriuosly every franchise takes elements from the competition

I see ASM as contemporary not dark.

* There's a guy who sticks to walls.
* The movie is set in high school.
* There is a freaking giant Lizard.
* The hero wise cracks.

How is this movie dark? Oh yeah, it's set mostly at night, and there is even a good reason for that, he freaking goes to school in the day time. A lack of camp doesn't = dark.

Grounded maybe but not Dark

That is absurd...

Batman and Robin destroyed the superhero genre. Admitedly it was Blade that got the ball rolling and X-Men was a modest hit but it was Spider-Man that opened the floodgates for the big budget superhero movies.

Grounded maybe but not Dark

Nolan's Batman is dark. The Punisher movies are dark. I see Spidey taking a more contemporary/realistic take on what it would be like to get superpowers. I really don't see the connection to Batman if anything it's influenced by Iron Man.

hope it reaches 700m :woot:

It's a lock for 700m. I think the movie will close out at around 720m which imho is a pretty respectable total for a reboot the general by and large weren't interested in.

The general opinion of the people
Okay maybe not break but atleat match it

It wasn't going to match it either. It's absurd to think TDKR would have. It could've gotten close and much closer without the shooting happening, but never match.

Again in terms of expectations and I think TASM has

And I feel it hasn't. At least domestically in the states. Foreign; it was always going to be a home run because it's Spider-Man simply put, but it's a let down in the states.

Did you ask the 7 billion what they thought about Avengers as well? Let me know what they thought.

How much more? Maybe 300M
It'll end around 260M so it failed by 40M but exceeded expectations overseas so it more than made up for it

$300-$400 would be what I would assume TAS-M's expectations domestically would be, but one could also say it should've brought in more money than that.

Realistically TDKR will end around 1.1Billion
Thats the same amount TDK ended up at(After adjusting for infaltion)(Despite not releasing in China)
Thats disappointing
Even after being terrible SM3 grossed more than SM2

How in the hell is $1.1 billion disappointing for any movie? And who said it should make more than TDK?

That post is seriously too stupid to even reply

Dude its a average movie at best.As I said,it has less flaws compared to TASM but TASM's highs are a lot lot more enjoyable than BB

Spidey movies will obviously keep coming, but to be blind and say BB had nothing to do with TAS-M is hilarious.

And without Raimi there would be no Begins.

Richard Donner.

Sam Raimi didn't do anything for Begins to be made. It was a new take and BB is the film that inspired others. But as a whole, Begins would have not been made if it wasn't Donner, not Raimi, which, coincidentally, inspired Nolan to use a wide ensemble.

No Because they wanted to be different from Raimi's Spidey
Reboots are like that, they try to distinguish themselves from the previous franchise
Schumacher's Batman was way different from Burton's,Nolan's Batman was way different from Schumacher

Similarly Webb's Spider-man was meant to different from Raimi's

And the reboot inspiration itself is from Batman Begins which has been said to influence MANY reboots.

Why are people so blind to that?

I like how it's my opinion when I say this movie was mediocre but people can call BB **** and average and people line up behind them.

Because they try to "one-up" you by just bringing another film into the conversation.
