Then they should avoid any other Spider-Man origin remakes in the future and stick with Raimi's.
I'm sure this is the last origin film we will see in a long time. Even if it is rebooted again, it probably would start off with just Spider-Man already with his powers..

Agreed. I think of TASM as the first real origin of THE Spider-Man from the comics instead of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man which SM was.

Only thing that Raimi "invented" was the organic web shooters.

Only thing he invented was organic web shooters but that wasn't the only thing he changed.

Raimi changed a lot of things. Webb is returning them to where they belong IMO.

Is it true Peter wears contacts and only uses glasses when he finds his dad's old pair?

Oh man, I just found out that one of the negative reviews on RT, HitFix, the same reviewer that reviewed TASM gave the Katy Perry concert movie a B+, but TASM a C+.

We all are discussing about the professional critics and ratings on RT, but those Hype members who have already seen TASM, please go over to Give ratings thread poll and add your rating over there.

This way we can see how the cbm fans view this movie, The poll option in this thread is closed.

Drew McWeeny is a cool guy, don't rag on him.

Just read somewhat of a spoiler interview given by Marc Webb; could someone confirm or elaborate as to what he meant when he said:

that there was a scene of New York Citizens coming to help Spider-Man in this film?

The crane scene. The dad of the kid Spidey saved from the car turns out to be a foreman or something for a construction company. He calls up all the crane operators in the area to move their cranes around so that Spidey would have a direct web swinging path to Oscorp. Don't know if he noticed that Spidey was limping from a gunshot wound to the thigh.

a REALLY positive review (little too Fanboy imo) :

Sounds cool; and thanks.:yay:

For those that have seen this particular scene; would you guys say that it was done better than the scenes that we've seen Raimi do featuring similar situations? Some criticisms that I've read regarding on how Raimi would do those types of scenes is that they would come off rather cheesy at times.
