I wasn't expecting that the villain for Avengers 2 will be Ultron.

My guess is that GotG will have nothing to do with Phase 2. GotG and its events are aimed for Avengers 3.

Guardians IS Phase 2, and will likely lead into something for Phase 3 with Avengers 3 and a likely Guardians 2.

I think it mostly will be, but it may involve the future/time travel as a way to introduce Ultron without having Pym first maybe?

I dont't expect Pym to make him. Marvel is known for making changes to their character back stories....hence why it seems everyone being introduced to the MCU is some sort of Shield agent (Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon).

My guess is that the higher ups aren't too happy with what the Avengers did in NY and decide to fund building a robot that can fight major threats but can be controlled. Ultron will be that robot but gains sentience.

That seems strange since Ultron would seem to fit better with Ant-Man in Phase 3, but it seems like they have a master plan where those 2 work out separately.

Whatever they're doing, I'm sure it'll piss plenty of fans off.

Sounds great; interesting and awesome that they seem to be building to Thanos in A3.

I do love the idea of saving Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet for A3. Perhaps split A3 into 2 or 3 films and just do a massive epic with all the MCU characters? That would be insane!

And since this movie seems packed already, I bet Thanos would have some sort of role, obviously not as big as Ultrons.

I won't be upset if Tony is involved with creating the shell/body of Ultron. But Pym has to do the AI. And it has to be his idea.

I think it's just as likely that he will be voicing Ultron, who is Vision's father anyway.

an actor can always get less buff. :P Chris Pratt, for example, leaned down a lot in the past 6 months or so.

Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if Vin Diesel both voiced Ultron AND played Vision. That would be pretty cool actually. Hopefully he can deliver.
