My thoughts exactly. I'm glad to see someone thinking clearly. lol. From almost every reaction I've seen, this is a huge fun movie that does not disappoint. All the reviews Ive read so far have been raves. Not sure what everyone is freaking out about. Even the ones with nitpicks ultimately enjoyed the hell out of the movie. Now, I avoid places like IMDB like the plague, so I cant speak to random anonymous posts. They may or may not have seen the movie, but I havent read them.
As far as the complaints about yet another huge, climactic battle against an army: The moment Ultron was announced as the villain, it was a given. If its well done, with interesting elements, not a problem.
" Sexual tension, cinematic visuals and heroes directly aiding civilians are all fresh and welcome additions to the Marvel universe, but why oh why can't they find a way to end these movies other than a boring brawl? The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I guess its 3/5? So:http://en.paperblog.com/new-release-review-avengers-age-of-ultron-1193806/

There were more. Unfortunately, they claim they werent informed during the screening about the embargo until the 21 april and have now taken them down.
It seems those will be their dubbing voices, this is a bit disappointing for me. At least it doesn't sound as bad as the GotG one did.
So far it seems that Scarlett Witch is a high point of the film which is great, her fans deserve something good after the HoM mess.
That's why I said it was good, some friends of mine were scared about Whedon making her insane like in that story so its nice to see that it doesn't seem to be the case.MCU is completely separate from the comics. There is no such thing as HOM in the MCU, and we get a SW that has a clean slate with no prior history. Btw, I'm glad to see Olsen speak as Wanda in the featurette, and she has an interesting accent. I don't really care if it is Eastern European accent or not, though; I think it's more important to get the performance right.
. I like her accent, I'm not sure about the latin spanish dubbing voices which did a disservice to GotG, especially Ronan who had me rolling.. I like her accent, I'm not sure about the latin spanish dubbing voices which did a disservice to GotG, especially Ronan who had me rolling.

You know, I don't get the whole"this movie needs to raise the stakes" criticism when "the stakes" simply refers to "how many people/planets/universes can we endanger?" It's personal preference of course but one of my favorite movies (Pan's Labyrinth) basically has the stakes of "is this little girl going to get to be a fairy princess?" while my favorite TV show (Firefly) tends to have the stakes "Well we better figure out how to afford groceries and pay the gas bill." It's movie Serenity had far "bigger" stakes in terms of the whole 'verse being endangered, but it's not any stronger for it.
I just don't think you have to destroy the universe to have high stakes, you just need to feel for whatever the characters' want. If all they want is to be a princess or buy some food and they can make that a compelling reason for the journey than that is all you need.
Also, I've read a couple of reviews that state Wanda's character has more depth than Pietro (expected) and that Pietro doesn't live up to DotP's Quicksilver. I wonder if they mean that he doesn't have a cool showy fight scene that is memorable the same way, or if his character is actually weaker in terms of personality and story. Because the first doesn't matter to me at all, while the latter would be super disappointing to me considering how much I was looking forward to the twins.
Well, you have to consider the fact that several of the Avengers have their own solo movies, so if you make a movie where they come together the stakes will naturally have to increase, otherwise what's the justification of forming a team in the first place? And using Pan's Labyrinth as a comparison with the Avengers is like apples and oranges; these two movies couldn't be more different.
