Good thing Whedon's directing this; it's tough to get actors into the zone on their characters when you start shooting with a battle scene of all things - at least for newcomers. Fortunately it looks like very talented people are involved on all ends - including the effects crew :woot:

This is how it usually goes (correct me if I'm wrong):

First descriptions: "That sounds good"
First set pics: "OMG that looks awful, why would they do that? They should've used... *insert here your favorite illustrations*"
First trailer: "OMG that looks awesome is the best thing ever!!!".

Are they complaining because they think that's how Ultron will look in the movie?

Because if they are… Not. Enough. Facepalms. In the world.

Yes, they're saying stuff like "costume looks cheap, this movie is gonna be lame"

Did people do that when this shot was released for the first movie?

it's gunna be a looooooong wait, think we got these set pics far too early
a year and a month of whining about how the stand in for a CG creation looks weird is gunna kill me
don't worry soon skinny chris evans will show up on set and fans will demand sandwiches, then pictures of Thor will show up and he will have lost his helmet in Asgard, then there's the obvious problem that the sky is blue and therefore a rip off from Avatar and as soon as the first trailer arrives we all will complain how this looks like just another episode of Married With Children. By then, we all have already forgot how weird Ultrons Hobbit feet were.:o

Which facebook page?

I'm so elated that Ultron has his own look with nary a hint of an Iron Man armor.

In regards to the earthquake simulations, maybe Wanda's TK? Or yea it could be the sonic boom from Quicksilver going supersonic.

Ultron looks interesting. Seems they are going for more human eyes. But then obviously it's just a stand in for the other actors to react to. I'm sure WETA or ILM or whoever will work their magic.

^ That couldn't possibly be Hulk, he's not bald/2 ft tall in the MCU. Has to be a mini-Abomination, no other explanation. :o

First trailer: "OMG that looks awesome is the best thing ever!!!".
Seen the first movie: "That was great, awesome!"
Sequel announced: "The first one was okay, but this should be so much better!"
Sequel trailer: "Yep, puts the first one to shame!"
Seen the sequel: "Best [Franchise] movie ever!"

Rinse and repeat

And then-
Reboot announced: "I'm not sure about this, why reboot?"
First reboot set pics: "Doesn't look as good as the first series, so many pointless changes"
First reboot trailer: "Awesome! I always thought the first series was overrated anyway"
Seen the reboot: "Best [Franchise] movie ever!"

etc

I hope Ultron's mouth opens. Otherwise he looks sufficiently creepy.

I hope he wears that puffy jacket in the movie. Then mentions being in a frat at some point.

As long as Hawkeye doesn't say something as stupid and lame as this to Wanda, the movie will be fine. :P

Ultron's eyes look so nonchalant. It's sort of unnerving.
