Action-Adventure The 'Back To The Future' Appreciation Thread - Part 2

There is a Collider Behind the Scenes video on the BTS to the special screening of BTTF that they held. I cannot post it due to cursing, but it's on their YouTube page.

^Could be cool. So long as they're careful about screwing up the continuity. Also, always wondered how Marty and Doc met, but it's one of those things you really don't need to know.

Btw, just purchased BTTF1 soundtrack. Silvestri's music is incredible.

Will the comic also explain what Doc's kid was doing here? :o

I still say another trilogy could be epic - just have doc leave the delorean somewhere for someone with instructions - adventures begin

Just saw my theater is showing the sequel on the big screen next month. Looking forward to it

Imagine if they remake Back to the Future

I never want to see a BTTF remake. It's a cinematic icon and the original should be left as it is.

With that said ............................... with time travel, the potential for more stories is huge. I certainly wouldn't say no to a continuation of the franchise with new characters and more stories. What if Doc had made a prototype of the Delorean which was still locked away somewhere, and found yrs later?

I could see someone like Tom Holland in a role in a film like that, having a similar upbeat and likeable persona to Michael J Fox in the original.

Yeah but then there's also Doc's sons to consider his sons Jules and Verne if you continue the franchise and Marty he could have had children himself too

That could actually work as a TV show. You'd need someone super likeable in the lead role though.

More BTTF movies are a terrible idea. Thank god Zem/Gale are adamant about no more films being made in their lifetime.

Didn't Zemeckis fix it so that no remakes could be done as long as he was alive?

A remake would be a horrible idea. It's one of those movies that you just can't do twice. The first time was perfect and everything it needed to be. A remake would only be worse, so why bother?

Zemeckis and Gale are smart enough to know that the BTTF franchise can continue without making more movies and we've seen that.

Gale and Zemeckis both have something where a remake cannot be done as long as they're alive.

I've decided I'm not gonna watch anything they do with the brand in the future. Remake, sequel, re imagining, etc. Those three movies is all that exists and will ever exist for me.

If they remade it for today, the Delorean would be a Tesla, Doc would be played by Jared Leto, and they would time travel back to the 80s to bank on the current nostalgia wave.

Both he and Bob Gale have maintained that a sequel, remake or whatever else is NEVER going to happen.

I love the first BTTF but not the sequels.
