Action-Adventure The 'Back To The Future' Appreciation Thread - Part 2

It's probably known by fans already but...on the paper Doc sketched the Flux Capacitor, the name is Flux Compressor.

I recently saw the sequels and I honestly think Part 2 is the best of the trilogy.

Sorry to bump this up, but this franchise is the only time I have ever liked Huey Lewis and the News.

Nah for me I love Huey Lewis And The News. Lots of great songs there besides what’s just in the films

I feel like this franchise - could, not saying should.. be ripe for a reboot of sorts....

literally all they need is for someone to stumble across the Delorean hidden, no explanation... they get it to start.. maybe the keys are near by and boom, you have adventures.

Beauty of time travel is it's connected to the original trilogy, but isn't....

The vibes of the ecto1 in the GB reboot, I just loved it and seemed to be handled so respectfully...

That’s a big no for me.

This trilogy is so pure, especially today where everything is getting resurrected.

It doesn’t need a reboot, or a sequel, or a tv series spinoff etc. It can just exist as it is, and the best part is that people and their kids are rediscovering it all the time. It’s more popular than ever, and that’s without having to run it into the ground like everything else these days.

Back to the Future is my favorite film. The sequel was the first film I ever saw in the theater. I looked up to Michael J. Fox growing up and wanted to be just like Marty McFly. These films pretty much defined my childhood.

Just rewatched the trilogy again the other day. I don't know why, but this series of movies always makes me choke up. It taps into something personal for me that I can't put into words.

No reboot. The directors have said it won't happen while they're alive, and it could never be done better than it was the first time. Everything was perfect and that can't be replicated. I don't think it was the sort of success you can try to accomplish, it just happened with all the right elements coming together. All you'd get out of it is people saying "That wasn't nearly as good as the first ones."

That might be difficult given how Part III ended for the DeLorean.

No to a reboot. No to a sequel. Sometimes things should just exist and don't need to be remade.

Time travel isn't linear my friend.... they can take it, drop it off.... at the exact same time..... it was like it was never gone... anyways, its all good..

The original has always been a favorite of mine but for some reason my mind doesn’t remember it when someone asks for my top 5.

Still amazed how well that model transitioned to the real car when the Delorean landed on the ground after arriving back from 2015.

I'm a longtime BTTF fan, but my brother even more so - almost fanatical about it.

So just in case anyone is interested, I bought him this book last Christmas and after finishing it he lent it to me. It's absolutely fantastic - it's an officially sanctioned book so has interviews and info from key members of the crew. Also has tons of stuff in it which I never knew about, and lots of concept art I'd never seen before - like early ideas for the film poster and clothing and so on.

Really takes you through the whole making of the films and the challenges they faced, as if you were there too. Also includes a lot of cool memorabilia (replica of course) that you see throughout the movies. Highly recommend it.

I have the 30th too, seems the 35th has a chapter about all the stuff that went on to celebrate the film in 2015.

I also got the original printing as well, from it's original release. Great book.

Both Gale and Zemeckis have said that there will never be a sequel or reboot as long as they are alive, but as we've seen with other things, they are open to reviving the franchise in other mediums, like that musical and video games.
