The 'Back To The Future' Appreciation Thread - Part 2

Anyone know where Riverside drive is?

USA Today will release that newspaper tomorrow.

Remember, Doc Brown went one day into the future to see what happened.

Hitting the theatre to catch part 2 at 4:30.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived!

The movie predicted flat screen TVs, voice controlled gadgets ,Tablets, Google glasses, Apple watches, and drones!

Does anyone think this series gets overlooked a lot when talk of best trilogies is discussed? There's a consistency throughout these three films that is maybe only matched by the Toy Story series.

Ehhhh....all three Toy Story films are more or less on par with each other, but the first Back to the Future is a much better film than the sequels. I will say that it gets overlooked a lot, as all three are good movies.

I think its a perfect trilogy, so I bring it up all the time. But then you always get responses like that ^, so who knows? I find it better than most trilogies, but that's just me.

Right now I'm in Eighties Mode, a la Marty McFly. Also wearing a transparent necktie, and my pockets are inside out! I also have future glasses and the Flux Capacitor app for the ride. Later, I'm planning to go as Doc Brown to the movies.

Hopefully, I'm going to see Part II tonight with my family. I have never seen any of these films in the theater. I'll try to catch the other two this weekend.

Happy BTTF Day!

Ha, just came on to say I'm watching the future scene and it will be the last time it will still be the future! Tomorrow after 7:32pm (my time Eastern time zone) it will be the past! :cwink:

Sorry, that's 7:29 eastern time (4:29 pacific).

Gotta get back in time!

Hey Michael,

Almost thirty years ago, we embarked on a journey to create a glimpse into “the future.” Although the project started as science fiction, we’re now proud to turn that fiction into fact. As the first, most celebrated wearing of the Nike Air Mag, we wanted you to be the first to receive a living pair. “I meant Nike Mag” (I must have “air” on the brain)!

What is so special about the Nike Air Mag is its impact continues to resonate. We may never know its final legacy, but we continue to work on projects that carry and progress some of its principles.

As you well know, innovation never stops at Nike so we’re excited about what lies ahead for this idea. We know if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

In addition to your personal pair, we’re creating more pairs for support in aid of the Michael J. Fox foundation in 2016. We hope that the combined effort will raise even more than the $9.4 million contributed in 2011 and to eliminating in some way Parkinson’s Disease in our lifetime!

Your Friend, Tinker

P.S. If my calculations are correct… your pair should be with you shortly.

The new sneaker mimics an iteration of the original Bruin, with full-grain leather upper and cupsoles instead of the archetype suede upper and autoclave outsole. Today, the exclusive silhouette provided by these updates is accented by a bold red swoosh, which is particularly prominent due to the absence of heel tab and tongue markings.

I think one of the main reasons why it's not being mass produced it's probably expensive to produce, and also, the self-lacing mechanism is probably fragile. Meaning you can't play basketball with them all..maybe a stroll. Also, I would assume to liability reasons too.
