These two guys are just so weird.

Yeah it was good stuff. Liked the GL/Flash buddy bits in spite of how annoying they made Hal, would like to see more of that sometime.

I don't have any strong feelings about him. Looks wise, he fits the character. But acting wise, I haven't seen him in much. I'll form more of an opinion after seeing him in this show.

So not quite Henry Cavill level for you but you feel he'll be serviceable in the part. Cool. I was just curious.

Pretty much. I need to see more. Cavill is something special... So well cast. But I only found that out after I saw MOS.

After seeing the set pics it's still looking pretty dang great to me, but I'm not one to care about design changes and different adaptations from comic to screen.

Pretty excited for the show to start up so I can more accurately judge how everything feels as a whole, but this is a nice start. I hope it find a nice early footing and can engage me as a viewer week to week. I can care less about costumes, they're silly no matter what, I'm more concerned with character content and story lines.

I expected something of the MOS suit's quality. Do you guys think this suit looks like it could fit alongside the MOS suit or would it look out of place? (regardless of your opinion on whether the universes should be united or not)

I'm seeing a lot of comments like "it looks great for a cw show" or "great for a tv show" but if this were for a movie, would you guys be as happy?

Tried to make it look a little more form fitting, but got bored along the way. I'm not that good anyway. But still...

I'm sure the costume will look better in the show, after post production. Of course stuff like the inside of the logo being red and other design choices some of you don't like will still be there, but...

This exact suit as is? No. But this suit concept/design done within a movie budget, yes. It's still a bit hard to fully make tht observation since I haven't seen this suit in motion or done post filming/editing onscreen though.

I'm definitely on board for TV Ameill Arrow and Gustin Flash to show up right alongside Cavill, Affleck, and Gadot, I enjoy what's been seen with Arrow and have no problems with the character on screen or the actor giving the performance. Gustin, in his few appearances, also left me confident he can make Flash just as interesting although that's still yet to be seen.

If they happen to show up in the film universe somewhere down the line that's great or if the people at WB feel they need different names, I'm okay either way.

The one thing that does seem a bit silly to me is havingArrow and Flash on TV in a seperate universe, and a totally different Flash or Arrow in a film going on at the same time. If the shows are being well recieved, I have no problem putting those leads into the films. Gives the people who are already enjoying them a chance to see them somewhere new and on the flip side, if they're received well to the greater masses on film then those respective shows reap the rewards. Win - win in my eyes.

The full costume looks ok though I don't know why they tried to deviate from such a simple costume that works perfectly in the first place. Needs to be more form fitting, add the lightning belt and yellow shoes/boots. I just really dont like the shoes fading into the pants. And the different material is not working, though it may look better on screen.

The budget difference is astronomical. To expect something MOS quality from a TV show is simply not practical.

You can make perfectly good movie like costumes on a tv budget. Just got to find the right designer. CW just had to put up the money to make 3-4 costumes and they would be good to go.

You can't blame certain decision decisions on budget (Red symbol, muted colors, fit of the suit).

That being said, I still wasn't expecting something perfect, because...you know....CW.

Oh, I don't think that at all. As I've said, my only complaint is the insignia not having a white background, but anyone who thinks they were going to spend the kind of money the spend on making suits for tent pole summer blockbusters for a TV show that hasn't even been picked up yet has got to be kidding themselves. Didn't I read somewhere the MOS costumes were something like 100k a piece, and that isn't including the trial and errors to get to that point I'm sure. That kind of money simply isn't going to be spent on a TV series no matter how much you want it to be. Honestly, I think we should be rather happy with what we got. All in all it's fairly accurate.

This is a big improvement. I still like the suit they came up with, I think it'll look great on screen, but by being a bit more faithful to the comic costume in these few areas, it could be improved some.

Edit. Looking at this again, it really looks pretty much perfect for the constraints of a tv show I'd say. Pilots can change alot from the rest of the series, get this image to their costume department stat!

Um... You don't know how the industry works when it comes to costumes do you? They probably have several copies of that suit for the pilot alone readily available for stunt use and in case one should suffer damage. The cowl I assume is latex and will also eventually need replaced as the frequent use will eventually cause it to degrade.

Also, wearing the costume, his face really looks like Barry Allen to me. Alot of people when Gustin was cast said they couldn't see it, but in that cowl I really do.

It's the brown hair. If his hair were lighter or even blond, more people would have been on board with Grant a lot sooner, I imagine. All in all I think he's done Barry justice so far. A little geeky, very committed to his work, so earnest he seems a bit old fashioned. That's the Barry I know. Hopefully the pilot gets picked up and we get to see what else Grant brings to his portrayal of Barry Allen.

Superman could blow the Kryptonite from far away using his super breath

Flash's portrayal in JL: War was one of the best things about the film, probably my favorite aspect, that and the Superman VS Batman VS GL fight. That was excellent. Anyway they definitely got Flash right with that film.
