THE BATMOBILE THREAD

No love for this one?

Snyder's Batmobile is probably the worst. Nothing about it clicked for me. It was too similar to Nolan's, just worse.

the Tumbler and the new batmobile from this film are honestly my 2 favorites.

And that's what one the things that are great about Batman. Those are your favorites, and we had so many interpretations of the Batmobile and the Batman universe to choose from. And we will see others after Pattinson ( or before his reign is over? we will sure have in others medias anyways) all the versions are not for every one, but we have so many versions to like, we're blessed as fans ( and i say that as a fan who suffered with Batman and Robin :funny: )

The Tumbler and the 89 Batmobile are clearly superior, but I can't say I hate the new one. I like how different it is. You can definitely find examples in the comics to compare it to, which is cool.

The Batmobile was depicted as a tricked out muscle car in the comics for years.

Exactly!

I still like the Burton mobile too, but I like it less than I did when I was younger. the Snyder mobile is easily my least favorite.

I mean maybe we get a scene where Bruce finds this on eBay and gets Lucius to upgrade it.

I think Tumbler was used the best in context of the story. "You always fear what you don't understand". What is this beast? Car? Tank? Shapeless monster. 89 looks great, but isn't used to the same effect. Just looking cool and bat-themed. It has the wow factor. Schumacher/Snyder follow Burton in approach, but they aren't as great-looking or impressive in action. Just huge dumb grotesques.

I always wanted a really stripped-down version of Batman (akin to Year One) and Reeves seems to be doing exactly that. We will see how it works within the new story. It's certainly a lot more plain-looking in comparison to previous live action batmobiles, even 66 one. We will see if it's justified by the story. I like it for what it is, but I'm not crazy about it. Both 89 and Tumbler leave bigger impression.

You basically described everything about his take on Batman, from casting to look to characterization compared to Nolan / Bale.

I think the car is beastly, and love the look. But I question a few things: 1) Whats up with the windows and why aren't they tinted to be more stealth and 2) Are their windows on the doors and back? 3) How are we gracefully getting in and out of this beast?

Through the door window just won't work, I mean they can say that, but if they show it, it will look so awkward. So are we just going to see him driving and never getting in or out? I hope the roof retracts.

Just spit-balling here hoping to engage in some conjecture.

Also hope to see this thing in action for some shooting soon and that's why they released the pics.

the 66 and 89 batmobiles are classic and iconic. those two are probably are and will always be the best.

the tumbler is maybe my fave for now because of how "batman" it felt without the typical visual batman-y things associated with a batmobile - it was an outside the box design that worked for me.

snyder's batmobile is ok. not great, but not bad.

don't care for schumacher's. lol.

new battison/reeves batmobile looks cool so far, very 70s comic book inspired - gotta wait to see it in action.

I dig every batmobile. They all fit each universe. This new one is already at number 2 for me, right next to Keaton’s. Depending on how it sounds and how it’s used, it could go straight to number 1.

I have to say this doesn’t really feel like the Batmobile to me. If I saw this without Batman next to it, I wouldn’t think it was the Batmobile. I recognize Batman has had similar looking vehicles, but it’s not obvious this is The Batmobile.

still cool though.

Burton
TAS
Reeves/snyder
Nolan

How I would rank them. Not sure how people love the tumbler but everyone has their own taste. I did like the batpod tho. The tumbler is just a tank with zero batman related aspects.

I like this Batmobile. The Burtonmobile is my childhood Batmobile so that'll always be the coolest to me, but I like this one. It really does look like a mid-80s comic version of the Batmobile come to life. Seriously don't get all the hate it's gotten.

The Tumbler was badass looking, loud, and it was intimidating as hell which is what I loved.

Maybe this Bruce Wayne works on such a budget not only to throw the police off, but because that way he's managing his resources better as a philantropist.

As in, instead of using 30 million dollars on a super advanced batmobile and gadgets, he gives that 30 million away to charity. So he's very careful about how he manages his budget.

It'd be a nice way of making those Twitter SJWs stop with their "billionaire beats poor people" nonsense.

It's not an electric or hybrid even so he can still do more.

Not even kidding.
