Yeah, it's weird that he kinda does.

I made a few without the stubble for you, but it's hard. Almost every pic from his stubble-less days has him smirking in this just-wanna-slap-him way.

Also could someone please explain these lines to me? I kind of get the other ones, but these?? Bermejo has the decency to cover them up on his image with Batman's arm/cape, but you can tell they are still there.

I say give us Bat-stubble. This guy doesn't have time to shave!

Right? Such an upgrade over the puzzle suit. And the ruggedness of Bermejo's design has really grown on me. This latest pic fixes everything about the old one that I didn't like - particularly the way the symbol works, and the too-angry cowl (although I get why that worked for Noel). This takes all the stuff that worked about that design and applies it to a suit that is more neutral. I dig it. The cowl especially works for Fleck's face, as I will soon demonstrate ;)

Here are some quick Fleckings of the CG 52 suit that someone posted earlier. In the interest of peace and tranquility, it's got both options for the eyes...

Stubble vs no stubble?

What say the people? I'd like a mixture of both. Maybe in his first appearance and throughout most of the film with stubble and then for the final battle he gets a clean shave.

I'm good either way. Affleck likes having a little stubble and his Batman is supposed to be older and "seasoned". Maybe they'll keep it! I think it would look cool.

I would say the final battle is when he should have the stubble, cause he's so worn down by then.

I don't think he should have the stubble as Bruce. I say let him shave in the morning, but then have a little 5 o'clock shadow at night.

Yeah, it's weird that he kinda does.

Affleck looks especially good behind the cowl because his facial features of the mouth, jaw, & lip area aren't very distinguishable. For example, he doesn't exhibit prognathism; he doesn't have pouty lips (like Keaton does) -- that kind of thing. His look (at least from the nose septum down) is very generic; and that's basically how most comic book superheroes tend to be rendered: cromagnid jaw; straight or slightly convex nose; thin lips. Affleck looks like a Jim Aparo drawing.

He looks so much better with the stubble.

Clean shaven affleck as Bruce is fine, but with the cowl on does not look good at all.

Both ways I will be fine.

But he's a fatty now. He needs to start workin' out them face muscles to get to this:

I know you're probably joking but there's truth in what you say. Here's hoping his cardio sessions start soon.

At this point I don't even care all that much about muscle as long as he can just drop some weight down because a good deal of it is going to his face.

While that would traditionally make sense this movie is tackling a worn down Batman in the beginning only for his inspiration to be rekindled by meeting Superman. Thematically it would make more sense to see him downtrodden in the beginning only for him to look "clean" again when it comes time for the final battle.

That's how I imagine it to be too. I mean, the whole stubble thing is a total non issue, but it would be nice for him to put on the batsuit at the beginning with a little bit of scruff and then, having gone through experiences with Superman and Lex, he resurrects himself from tiredness to the shmexy, sharp ninja Batman we all know and love.

I agree, no one wants a fat faced Batman.

His face right now looks pretty close to Leno level to me, Ben looks like a guy that's been dirty bulking for a few months with no cardio.

He doesn't look in shape. I think we can all agree on that much.
