^ I'm not sure about the peaks on the shoulders, but everything else is solid.

But see, that's the thing.

IT COMES OUT IN 2016, and most people were expecting it in 2015.

Pair that with the fact that worries for this film couldn't be any higher after the Eisenberg casting, they REALLY need to reveal something to ease our fears and/or calm us down for a good while.

What better than revealing the suits, which are supposed to be the best we've ever gotten on film for these character?
No they don't need to reveal something to shut up the cry-babies. Two years of marketing is an obnoxious and ridiculous idea. Fanboys are not owed anything two years in advance. Also this is not the first film that has been delayed and fans always compain about a casting decision, that's nothing new or interesting.

Do you want me to continue to bring up the casting decisions that were met with derision that people now praise? Because I don't want to continue to bring up those casting decisions.

How does this work for ya?

^ Better. I've never been a fan of the pointy shoulders.

I hear ya. I like it because it reminds me of the sort of art nouveau influenced Dark Knights from Final Fantasy IV (my fav videogame growing up), but I would never argue for them for a live batsuit.

I'm open to them. If we accept that the purpose of the ears, the scalloped cape and the fins on the gauntlets is to give Batman a daemonic silhouette, then angular shoulders can be seen to contribute to that.

Plus, Brian Bolland uses them, and Brian Bolland is awesome.

His are subtle though - not like the crazy shoulder horns we got in the 90s.

I'm not opposed to any minor cheating to give Batman's shoulders a more squared-off silhouette, but big spikes would look pretty silly.

Regwec, I'm with the no shoulder spikes group on this, but I like that image-they're subtle. Enough to misshape a silhouette, but in the light it doesn't take away his humanity

My little animation is now finished, it's my contribution to the 75th anniversary of The Batman. I know that my idea from his suit is a traditional one and I doubt we will see Ben Affleck with this one. But I hope with a similar one, with no visible, busy armor. Hope you like it!

That's fantastic! It just needs Danny Elfman's theme in the background...

Aaah yes, shoulder horns... if done well I don't mind them at all. But spiked way up like the first of the above and it takes away, agreeing with many here on that.

Very nice! Looks great - if they could do an animated Batman movie with that level of detail, it would be fantastic!

Nice job dawg. Very pro.

and you can add me to the group that wouldn't mind the shoulder spikes. Just so long as they aren't over the top, i think they can be done really well, and I've always liked how the shoulder spikes look when all you can see is Batman's silhouette

Found this - it's obviously a critique on someone's design. I don't like it all that much, but it's another example of the shoulder spikes.

What I want them to get right is really well explained in this image..I liked so much the cowl and the neck beign one pieced..I don't care if he can't turn his head, it looks good, menacing, beastly like, it's so batman-ish..I hated the cape-cowl-neck in the post BB movies..and the cape, well, the material at least, just kills the rest of the batsuit for me..I prefer the "shiny" leather cape of the old suits..

I don't think there is anything menacing about a man who has to turn his whole upper body in order to look to his right.

Damn... That Keaton suit is just a million times better. I have to agree with everything you said. The top one just FEELS more like Batman.

That became iconic, the way he turned himself, the way that the cape followed that movement..JUST BATMAN :hubba

This is from a comic book. There was this story arc called Brotherhood of the Bat in the mid nineties, which DC spun into a book of concept art of the costumes, with the added backstory of Bruce Wayne designing his costume, and going through various concepts before beginning his war on crime. The notes you see are intended to be Bruce's notes. There are also some Robin costumes in the book.
