Was it? That's too bad.Sons of Batman was so bad... Such a disappointment.

You say that about every character that is added and even many that are rumored to be added. At a certain point, adding more and more characters does take focus away from Superman and batman.
^ You have a point, but all those characters weren't introduced in Cap 2 and TWS is used as one of the villains of the story. He's not another hero to distract people.
Does it matter? The problem is people's perceptions. This movie has Superman, Batman, WW, Cyborg...maybe Aquaman and Lex. If from day one Snyder announced this movie as Justice League would anyone be complaining that there's too many characters?
How many named from-the-comic-characters were there in Cap 2?
Cap-BW-Falcon-Fury-Hill-Batroc-Crossbones--Sitwell-Agent 13-Peggy-and The Winter Soldier....(11) and that's not even counting people not from the comics that were in this movie...nor the three in the end credits.Zola
and yet
Captain America: Winter Soldier was still focused on Captain America.
adding more named characters doesn't mean they will take focus from Batman and Superman. Movies have more than one character in them.
I'm not a fan of the SoB cowl either. Didn't really like anything about that film to be honest.

It was bad one of the worst DC animated movies in my opinion. Had a few decent parts though to be fair,.

Of course it matters. That's like telling everyone you're making a grilled cheese sandwich and making a PBJ sandwich instead. No matter how good it is, you did not do what you were supposed to.

Is that right?
Perhaps you should start with recognizing that nobody "owes" the so-called "fans" anything.
Of course, but why say you're making a Batman vs Superman film then? Why not call it what it is?

I'm not sure your logic is sound. With the new revelation that Snyder is directing an actual JL movie, I see no reason why SvB can't be a good Superman/Batman movie with anecdotal references to members of the JL to get them on the GA's radar.
Has it been explicitly stated anywhere from Snyder/WB representative that the MoS sequel was going to be exclusively about Superman/Batman? I think what's going on is with each announcement everyone who assumed it would be SvB only is realizing their assumptions were incorrect.
For the life of me I can't see why so many people think it's impossible to have a self-contained story with Superman/Batman/Lex Luthor/Other Villain and still find a combined 15 minutes of screen time just to introduce:
-Cyborg (Snippet of Vic Stone playing in an NFL game Bruce and Clark attend)
-Green Lantern (Quick shot of the council telling Hal/John to keep an eye on something brewing on Earth)
-Wonder Woman (Amazons tell Diana their elders sense there is a grave threat developing on Earth or some ****)
-Etc.
Surely each of those can't take more than 3-4 minutes each.
I can sympathize with people who wanted to see an SvB movie unfettered by unnecessary JL nonsense in the interest of a neater narrative, but considering how saturated the CBM market is and how WB might feel time is running out, if it's now or never I'd much rather they grab the chance at an insane team-up movie rather than playing it safe because it's what worked for Marvel who have beaten them to the punch.
Sorry, wasn't aware that the Justice League film following BvS had been confirmed. My bad.
