Just take a few minutes to reflect on how silly that view really is.![]()
Not a fan of the over-designed cowls to be honest.
Sorry, wasn't meaning to sound rude.Well then educate me smartass! Apparently I'm missing something.

I agree, it was one of the reasons I really like the TDK cowl, very simple, great shape and just looked like batman to me.
The TDK(R) cowl, in my view, was a bulbous, awkward, block of rubber. It was oversized and Bale couldn't breath through his nose while wearing it.
No worries.Sorry, wasn't meaning to sound rude.

Is it your contention that Captain America looks fine on the left and ridiculous on the right?
What I am driving at is that there is nothing inherently wrong with the colour blue. It occurs in the real world, and is all around us. With that said, how can the same item, rendered the same colour, be fine in one medium and not in the other? That view is ridden with logical holes, to me.

Blue shouldn't be used on Batman, ever.
Navy Blue is far more effective at hiding at night, assuming it's outside, while black sticks out. Indoors it depends on what type of environment he's hiding in, so unless he's in pitch black as opposed to shadows blue is more logically sound.
I would like to see the magpie blue that regwec described, however.
He probably won't be wearing trunks.
Really? I can see that in the Begins cowl, with the giant neck. but the TDK Cowl seem proportionately correct with the neck. I like, but to each his own.

I think the blue just looks good, and it blocks better against the grey than the black, because both the blue and the grey can be distinguished while retaining the same shade.
in live action, I think it should be rendered as a king of "magpie blue". It would appear black in the relative darkness, but with blue accents where it is caught by artificial light. Under bright light (say, police searchlights) it would appear mid-blue.
Haha. A safe deduction. I'm not sure if we'll get grey. Since darker colors would probably be better camouflage at night, could we see another fully black Bats?
It has nothing to do with people being used to seeing blue and has to do with people WANTING to see the blue.
That is not how it looked in TDK, they fixed the issue somewhat in TDKR (which I really don't understand, they should have fixed it in TDK to begin with.)
What do people think of something along the lines of Daredevil's movie suit? I always thought something like that could work for Batman.
