Yeah I too was thinking he might use the energy shield, but I like the idea that's been brought up of him being without a shield for a while. It would be something different.

Cap already stole the costume from the captain america museum during TWS , maybe he will steal the shield now.

It's hard for me to consider it a trilogy. This is just as much a sequel to Age of Ultron as it is to The Winter Soldier. There's a clear thematic arc and character progression through the three but there's several other films influencing them. Even this really has duel protagonists in Tony and Steve.

Point.

It's mighty impressive that Ultron was meant to be Marvels biggest tent-pole movie to date, and the Russos managed to turn it into just a prologue for their own movie :D

After a couple of watches I do prefer Winter Soldier though. I feel there was a lot more interesting and intrigue to it - it felt like a whole story in istelf. I love Civil War but its more a load of tied together action sequences; like a huge and glorious movie trailer.

One question that has irked me though... Cap and Bucky flew to Serbia at the end. How did Stark manage to stop to help Rhodey, take him to the hospital, have him scanned and wait for the doctors to give their diagnosis, read the incoming news reports, fly to the Raft prison, talk to the prisoners, go back to his helicopter and then fly all the way to Serbia in his Iron Man suit... and catch up to Cap and Bucky within minutes of them landing there.

Did Cap and Bucky take the scenic route?

This unfortunately makes no sense whatsoever. And I doubt anyone can provide a plausible answer for why Bucky and Cap take so long to arrive in Siberia.

I get that films can have inconsistencies and continuity bugs here and there, but that one I felt like I'd missed something. Ironman clearly has an extra day wandering around the world and catches up with them - it seems bizarre they didnt even think to add an excuse to explain how.

How come Alexander Pierce could control Bucky without trigger words?

I get the feeling that he only needed these to go into soldier mode (perhaps after freezing) and maintained like that until.... Also perhaps he knew them and just didn't show it on screen.

Also kind of upset no one died. Rhodes dying would have been a great way to show how out of control the heroes are and how there actions carrying weight even amongst themselves.

People dying isn't the only way to show stakes.

The other thing that bothers me is that....Cap and bucky knew they had to get to the airport...and then IM found out they were heading there...they both had time to recruit teams and somehow got to the airport at the same time????? and during recruiting couldn't they have just...I dunno....gone to a different airport?

Yeah I assume he just needed the trigger to start a mission and stayed that way until mission complete....When pierce was talking to him he was already activated...

To be fair though , it would be the same for the time Zemo arrives there and have to wait for ages before cap & bucky reaches siberia. Wonder what do he do to pass the time before they reaches there , look at the ceiling ? play games on his cell ? Listen to his mom phone msg all day and night ? From the time bucky told cap & falcon what zemo's plans were and cap calling in clint , wanda & scot (All three are in the US on different parts of the US) and then still fly out to germany to meet cap , bucky & falcon. It would have been like at least a day or 2 should have pass by then seeing as it was night when clint fetches wanda from the avengers compound.

They went to Serbia????

Anyways, this bugged me and how they just randomly went to the same airport. Also the fact that that particular airport was COMPLETELY EMPTY. Was that a government runway or something? Or an avenger's airport.

What do you mean randomly went to the same airport?

You do realize that the scene where Cap meets Ant-Man takes place in the airport parking garage right? While they're in the garage there's a an annoucment over the speaker that the airport is being evacuated. That's when Cap and the others realize that Stark has found them.

didnt hear the announcement. What about airport security? You dont find it odd there were no police/security flooding the runway while planes were being destroyed and cars were being thrown around, car garages being destroyed. There was no military presence in the movie.

Just a little too empty for my tastes, nothing is that easily evacuated, especially an airport. I can't recall a single civilian after the intro.

.

They all took some time to "suit up" so the airport could be cleared completely. Caps team were just handing out in the parking lot when it happened so wouldn't have come across much security. Plus we don't know if it's a public proper airport or just a smaller one anyway.

THOUGH.. Ironman asked Black Widow is she knew where they were. She said "No, but I know somebody who does.." It doesn't say who.

The next scene is Carter giving them their gear; there's no explanation for who she did or didn't have as an inside man.. was she tracking Carters movement? Starks team found out they were at the airport somehow.

Tony said he didn't know where they were going but he knows who knows. so it's assumed he had Intel somehow

Yeah i thought that implied that she was going to ask Carter where they were but not sure. Maybe that scene got cut.

That's because Tony got the ok to take Cap in himself. That entire military scenario, is the exact thing Tony was trying to prevent.

yes, the whole point of the accords was who gets to act. since Ross approved Tony to make the arrest that also meant keeping other authorities out of the way

That makes sense. It just felt jarring how vacant the entire place was.

Wasn't that answer "No , but i know someone who does" from Widow to Black panther , not iron man. I assume that she meant iron man as IM with his techology could track them.

Cap told Carter when she gave them their gears that the government would be coming for her , she said she knew that.

Your memory is a bit off on that one. The conversation you're talking about is between Black Widow and Black Panther. The "somebody" that Nat is talking about is Tony.

The last time Tony and Natasha talk before the airport fight is when they're talking about needed more help to bring Cap in. Natasha goes to recruit T'Challa and Tony goes to recruit Peter.

The moment war machine hits Captain America's shield with his baton thing. The shield bends of the edges

Nah, that conversation doesn't take place between BW and BP. The only conversations those two have are:

- Before T'Challa spoke
- Outside of the building after the bombing
- In front of his car when the Dora Milaje threatens to move her
- By the quinjet when she said she would tell BP she would only help them find Cap - not stop him.

The logical reaction to seeing a magnetic reaction would be to assume that there's iron involved, not vibranium.

Saw this posted in another thread. Could what we saw be some variation?

Antarctic Vibranium has thus far been found in nature only in the isolated region of Antarctica known as the Savage Land. It is also known as Anti-Metal due to its opposite effects to Wakandan Vibranium. Antarctic Vibranium, through a means that is not understood, emanates vibrations which cause the atomic and molecular bonds in nearby metals of other kinds to weaken, which results in the liquefaction of nearby solid metals.

And it's during that Conversation when T'Challa talks about having considerable reasourcs, widow says it's took the the world seven years to find bucky and so he might be able to do it in half that time. Then T'Challa asks "You know where they are" and she responds "I know somebody who does"....

and I just saw the movie again a couple hours ago.

If Bucky's arm was made of that he'd have been able to do serious damage to Cap's shield and T'Challa's suit.
