I can't read everything, so don't know if anyone else has mentioned this or not.....the stuff Winter Soldier takes from Howard Stark's trunk that turns the soldiers into super soldiers.....what's the chances it is Kree blood?
It's super soldier formula

When Lang said that he went big ... once in a lab .... I immediately thought of this :

Tony has blasted Cap's shield plenty of times with no effect. Also cap easily damaged bucky's arm in TWS. Bucky's arm is not vibranium.

Didn't hear anyone in the movie say that. It was blue like Kree Blood they used in TV series AGENTS OF SHIELD....so there is the possibility it was Kree blood.

Doesn't make sense tbh

The SS formula was blue in The First Avenger and TIH. My guess is that was it since Stark's father had it.

Think it was just super soldier formula but obviously Stark's own variation? since the original was never completely manufactured perfectly again. Yeah I would love a little more info into why Howard is just transporting SS around in the back of his caddie. Seems a bit crazy. Would love to have seen whether or not Peg (who has all types of connections at SHIELD and pentagon) knew about the SS. I also kind of wonder, which would be a pretty amazing twist if Peggy knew about Barnes being alive and being the WS. It seems kind of crazy that the WS was a ghost story but lots of spy information organizations would at least look for a super assassin or info about him or her if they ran across them.
And I am still not sure if Barnes (WS) was always Hydra's or did the Russians have him for a period of time and eventually HYDRA took control of him. The BW gave Steve the file on Barnes from her Kiev contacts and it was clearly a booklet on Barnes- a pic of him cryo and then a pic of him as a US soldier. Somebody knew exactly who he was at one time before becoming the WS.

I didn't notice it the first time around, but upon second viewing BP's ring has a strange reaction to Bucky's arm. It happened when they were fighting near the staircase of the headquarters in Berlin - i.e. his arm is Vibranium as well.

I can't be sure which part of the fight you are talking about but if I'm thinking of the same scene then it's not anything to do with his ring.

They are fighting and T'Challa goes to break Bucky's arm as we've seen in numerous fights throughout movies and he pauses because he realises that the arm is metal and it ain't gonna break. *Pause* and then they continue to fight.

I actually thought that part was Bucky realizing how strong Panther was. I say this because during his flashback when he's fighting the super soldier, they show the same move, position and camera angle with Bucky having the same surprised expression.

I'm with u on this. but wouldn't that makes BP stronger than Cap?

hmmm

Not necessarily. Cap has overpowered Bucky's arm before. I'd argue that all three are probably around the same strength level.

My guess is Cap is stronger than Bucky and about equal to T'Challa.

Virtually nil. For one, Kree blood doesn't do that, and for another, all the prior showings of super soldier serum or derivatives have been blue liquids too.

I think Howard found a way of replicating Erskine's formula, and that's what Ross had gotten ahold of in TIH and gave to Blonsky. All of those as mentioned were blue liquids.

Speaking of which. That means Tony's arc blast could destroy Cap's shield.

This is all kind of ironic given that his arc blast couldn't destroy the Vibranium core in AOU.

I don't think it's Vibranium... maybe just Adamantium. ;)

I don't think the ring was explained, or what it really does, it seemed to be hinted at that it has something to do with the Black Panther spirit, maybe a connection to past Black Panthers. We shouldn't jump to the conclusion that his arm was Vibranium just from that. For some reason I felt it was mentioned that they used Vibranium on him though... so idk... maybe he has some form of cheap partial Vibranium alloy?

It doesn't really make sense if his arm was Vibranium BECAUSE Iron Man's repulsor is able to break it. The only thing that would suggest that is that Ultimate Ultron was Vibranium, and that took Thor's lightning, Iron Mans repulsion AND Visions INFINITY STONE to melt him.

So maybe if Tony's armor has enough of an upgrade that his repulsor was the power of his old repulsors plus the power of Thors lightning and the power of an infinity stone combined... then maybe his repulsors could melt Vibranium.

Does Tchalla has some kind of SS serum

Or is his suit enhancing his abilities?

In the comics it's a herb, but in the movies it's yet to be revealed.

Just wanted to drop in and say I loved this movie and it MIGHT be the best Marvel film. If not, top three for sure. I think TWS excels in plot and structure, but from a purely satisfying emotional and cinematic level, CW is delivers in spades. ****, maybe TWS is the best, but like TA, I prefer this film. It's why I go to the movies. This is emphatically the greatest third superhero film of all time. Finally a third installment that is satisfying and could actually be better than the last film. Each installment should be better than the last and this is the only comic book trilogy to do that. And it's the encapsulation as to why the MCU works and why this movie could only happen within the MCU and the precedence it took to get here. Truly remarkable. Movie Bob said it best. Marvel studios is like the water cycle at this point.

The balance of all these characters and the density is such a cinematic achievement I can't emphasize enough. It's where SM3 failed and TDKR came up short. But this finally does it and it all feels like one movie and Cap's movie.

On a side note: Spider-Man was perfect and I loved every minute he was on screen. As a longtime Spidey fan, it's been 12 years, but Spider-Man is finally back. Holland captures Peter to the perfect T. I bought him as Peter Parker in Spider-Man in 15 minutes than I ever did with Garfield. His quips work. He's endearing but not annoying or a dick when he jokes. Just wow. It's still hard for me to say he's better than Maguire, but I'm more than willing to say that he is once Homecoming rolls around. And for that I'm glad. If you're gonna keep revamping these characters, make them better and it's already off in that direction.

So yeah, **** yeah for this movie. This was like an exorcism after BVS. I grinned ear to ear so much I remember that I could do that with movies.

Thanks guys, I just checked and yep, the SS formula was blue. For some reason I had in my mind that the formula used in CA:TFA was amber in color. Only thing I can guess is, by watching the blue skinned Kree soldiers fighting the team on the recent AGENTS OF SHIELD show, I got it in mind they were interconnecting the show and movie. Had a brain fart....:csad:

I think the pain killer shot that he got before he was injected with the SS formula was amber.

I loved every bit of the film. Caps fighting was just as good as winter soldier. Black panther lived up to my dreams of him. Spidey fit right into the universe.Giant man fighting Tony's crew was amazingly well done
The airport fight is definitely my favorite superhero fight for now possibly forever. So much good in this I loved seeing young Tony and I felt for Tony more in this than I have since Iron man 1 I have always been str8 up team cap but when he saw winter soldier murdering his parents I was all for his rage and I was so Wow-ed by him blowing the vibranium arm clean off him. The after credit scenes were nice I like how the film didn't neatly wrap everything up by the end. This film is a movie I am hugely proud to have in the MCU and I am dying to get this on bluray
