I also just wanted to add a big thank u to the Russo's, Fiege, and everyone involved to me thanks to this film cap had the greatest superhero trilogy so far. Not only does it defeat the 3rd film jinx alot of films has it makes u forget it's the 3rd in a trilogy.

How come Alexander Pierce could control Bucky without trigger words?

How do we know he doesn't use the trigger words? In the flashback at the beginning of Cap 3, we see them give him the shock treatment or whatever and then use the trigger words. In Cap 2 Pierce tells them to wipe him and start over. They give him the shock treatment and it cuts to another scene. We can assume the trigger words were used and we didn't see that part.

Makes sense. Thanks!

I can't disagree. IMO Nolan's BM trilogy is right there, but this is clearly the strongest of the CA flicks....and I loved the first 2. I'd prolly give BM the nod, but that's because I though BB was awesome and TDK had a killer performance by Heath and some mindblowing cinematography.

I'm totally psyching on how AoU is tying into CW. That adds some spice for me.

EDIT: LOVED the Giant-Man scene. I've been waiting for that for (what seems like) forever.

I think it's one of the best trilogies. I still like the first two more, but CW was still great.

Tony is a known playboy. I wouldnt want him hooking up with my aunt.

As for Cap, maybe, but I think or at least hope he is shield-less in the next film. It can be a big moment when he finally gets one in the 2nd part of the IW saga. This film definitely set up the Secret Avengers and I see Steve trading in his shield for his fist and possibly a gun

he clearly doesnt care or else he wouldnt be getting involved with Peter

I agree cap fighting shieldless would be bad ass especially if we get a powerful moment were Tony chooses t give it back to him. I loved that Steve layed it down in my mind out of respect for his friendships with Howard and Tony

Watching Cap's journey through TFA, TA, TWS, AoU and finally to Civil War is just beautiful. Most people fell in love with him in TWS but I'm happy to say I loved the character from the very first movie :woot:

They've given us a great Cap film and a great Avengers and Marvel universe film. Just can't wait to see what these guys do with IW.

That could be a great moment if we see Stark giving it back to him at a crucial point (and Thor giving him Mjolnir ;)).

Any chance of Wakanda scientists recreating his shield or getting an energy one?

Yeah I too was thinking he might use the energy shield, but I like the idea that's been brought up of him being without a shield for a while. It would be something different.

I want Cap to get the shield back in Infinity War when Widow is like "you don't win wars like this, Tony" and Tony pulls the shield out and turns around and is like "no, you win it with soldiers", then Cap music plays and it shows Steve in an upgraded Wakandan suit.

As for the film, I liked it. Parker was cool, as was Panther, and I wanted more Crossbones. And I'd like to see The Adventures of Sam and Bucky, they were great together.

And I'd have preferred Steve, Bucky, and Stark having to team up at end of movie to fight the super soldiers instead of each other. That's just me though.

I read Disney wanted them to do that, but Marvel/Feige/Russo's said no

I have a friend at work who saw it and he's not a big fan of superhero films and he loved it! I asked him about the Doctor Strange trailer and he said he'll have to see that one too and might be hooked on the MCU now.

I don't know if this has been discussed but two things. I want BP to give cap a new suit with the chest and shoulders covered in vibranium scale mail and bucky will be given a vibranium arm. Maybe BP will have an energy dagger to fight thano's black order maybe black dwarf like in infinity

It's hard for me to consider it a trilogy. This is just as much a sequel to Age of Ultron as it is to The Winter Soldier. There's a clear thematic arc and character progression through the three but there's several other films influencing them. Even this really has duel protagonists in Tony and Steve.

Character Screentimes Rounded to the Nearest 1/4 Minute (From IMDB)

Captain America - 36:00
Iron Man - 33:45
Winter Soldier - 21:00
Black Widow - 11:45
Falcon - 10:30
Black Panther - 10:15
Scarlet Witch - 10:00
Baron Zemo - 9:15
Spider-Man - 8:30
Vision - 7:15
War Machine - 6:00
Ant-Man - 4:45
Hawkeye - 4:45
Sharon Carter - 3:45
Thunderbolt Ross - 3:15
Crossbones - 1:45
Everett Ross - 1:15
Aunt May - 1:00

Remove Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Vision, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Aunt May from the movie and you get about 36 minutes. Cut out the airport scene in entirety and you get the movie closer to 90 minutes in length (and still the title character would only be 1/3 of the film).

I hope Odin dies in Ragnarok, Thor gets the Odinforce and takes Odin's staff. Cap then lifts Mjölnir in IW witj a huge surging lightning effect and Thor allows him to keep it.

And one of the key antagonists in Ross has 1 minute of time? That just backs up that the Accords was a wasted plot point tjat doesn't drive the story forward.

This movie just really gets you excited for the Marvel universe if you were ever on the fence I never was but I know there are those who doubted this would work so well. The movie left me wanting more of everyone in it.

That's true these films are becoming a mega franchise as opposed to trilogies if one was to only ever see just the 3 cap films then u would miss far too much I sometimes wonder do ppl still only watch certain films out of the MCU or do ppl all try to watch them all like I and probably most of us do?

What? The Accords was literally the premise of the movie because its based on the comic.
