One nice thing I have said and will continue to say about James Gunn is that I love how much credit and attention he’s given to the comics and their creators. Every book he’s mentioned thus far has gotten an immediate huge sales boost. It’s been great to see.

Absolutely. You can tell his very first thought of the film as far as ideas were concerned was the "Legacy" aspect of the original title. He has nailed that attachment of the history and all involved in the mythology.
