It was mostly fun for me picking out the reshoot scenes, where suddenly Scott had shoulders and extra weight on his face.David Corenswet in Twisters was fun to watch.
Not always. Back in the Golden-to-Bronze Ages, it was pretty common to depict male superheroes (including Supes) sans chest hair. Perhaps this was because hairiness was deemed âunseemlyâ; or perhaps it was about replicating the real-life muscle man/body builder aesthetic. In any case, Supermanâs hair growth (or lack thereof) was actually incorporated into his mythos. Because of yellow Sun shenanigans, Supesâ (head) hair and beard did not grow. And this conveniently explained why he wasnât especially hirsute â and didnât have to fuss with trimming or shaving. Of course, this changed in later versions. Which is when the contrived (and implausible) business of "heat vision and mirrors" became part of Supesâ personal grooming.Nah, Supes has chest hair. It's [canon].
Yeah sorry, #Eyebrowgate lives. They did something to those brows. It may purely be a make-up technique, and Iâve always said that could be it, but itâs definitely something nonetheless. These are simply not the brows he had before being cast in this role.

Iâm just extremely grateful they darken them when heâs Supes so he doesnât look this weird. Thatâs the only thing that had me worried for a hot minute.

Whether itâs just some kind of shaping technique or plot-related, he looks perfect as Supes, which is all that matters imo.
Tempting... but no@hopefuldreamer has a Twitter let's have her do it.![]()
One question. Is it at least as good as Twister?David Corenswet in Twisters was fun to watch.
There's no Bizarro, only Genesis.Wasn't he filming these adverts around the same time as the original image we were debating?
I can totally accept his eyebrows being lightened for an advert for whatever reason.
My push back on #eyebrowgate is only for bizzaro denial purposes![]()

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is rolling in his grave.Taking the nostalgia glasses off, I believe it's better than Twister.
I swear if you put Boogie Nights. There are like 10 other Phillip Seymour Hoffman performances that I would put over this.![]()
This is legit one of the greatest movie openings ever.Still haven't seen it!

That film is laughably bad...not in a good way. This is legit one of the greatest movie openings ever.

They were lightened well before he shot this. Thereâs no reason to lighten them for an advert, and thereâs no way a cosmetic choice for an advert would take precedence over that of a movie heâs currently filming. That said, if it makes you feel better, Iâm currently on the âitâs probably just a make-up/shaping techniqueâ train more than anything else. The recent pics from Twisters have helped me to notice that his natural eyebrow shape is a bit different from Supermanâs in the set pics, so I do believe it may have been done to give him a bit more of a âstraight off the comics pageâ look thatâs less noticeable on film than waxing the brows would be.Wasn't he filming these adverts around the same time as the original image we were debating?
