Gunn's post is all about how Krypto is inspired by his own rescue dog, who has behavioural issues as a result of his rough life. I am calling it right now that Krypto is the product of animal testing as part of Lex's attempts to clone Supes. It perfectly fits with the scruffy rescue dog look he has and Gunn's description of Krypto as a "not-so-good good boy".

IIRC, he debunked the news he had cast someone who would be Krypto's voice.
