^ I agree with this. I don't know why this movie needed The Authority AND a Terrifics/JSA team.
The simple truth is that they're there to set up other movies.^ I agree with this. I don't know why this movie needed The Authority AND a Terrifics/JSA team.
I did not realize that was the same actress you were talking about before. Lends further credence to the notion that people we’ve suspected are already cast based on their social media interactions with Gunn…probably are lol. Skyler Gisondo to be announced any minute now!Ah, nice to finally have some confirmation on this. I figured she was cast in something given her latest interactions w/ Gunn on Instagram.
I'm actually surprised we didn't hear about Gisondo first. Maybe Gunn has something bigger planned for that announcement.I did not realize that was the same actress you were talking about before. Gunn also said back in June that he never said The Authority would be present in Legacy, and here we have at least one member confirmed to be in it. Probably not the last. Could his plans have changed? Sure, but Gunn hasn't exactly been consistent as far as who or what will or won't be in this movie.Seems like some on the board think they already know what the movie is about. Didn’t Gunn say himself this is Superman movie about him dealing with Superheroes and as Clark dealing with Lois/reporting relax. Gunn is probably the best Superhero director and writer out right now. I remember lots of people complaining about Man of Steel because it seemed like Superman was the only hero in the world. In this movie we will see other Superheroes with different views and takes compared to Big Blue.
The Authority as a team probably won't be in this movie. In the comics, The Authority was preceded by a different, government-ran group called Stormwatch which had some members that would later be part of The Authority. That's probably what this is. And from leaks there are only 2 more members left to go.Gunn also said back in June that he never said The Authority would be present in Legacy, and here we have at least one member confirmed to be in it. Ideally, the Stormwatch will be funded by Lex and ran by General Sam Lane. The Authority as a team probably won't be in this movie. I am just happy some movement is happening.Gunn also said back in June that he never said The Authority would be present in Legacy, and here we have at least one member confirmed to be in it. Honestly, that just further suggests to me she'll be a Stormwatch member in this. No Authority.Gunn also said back in June that he never said The Authority would be present in Legacy, and here we have at least one member confirmed to be in it. Probably not the last. Yeah even for the characters no one cares about like this one he went with an exact clone of the comic lol It's pretty obvious what his vision for DCU casting is. He reaaally wants that "x person was born for this role" reaction, at least for most of the roles.Just googled Angela Spica, as I wasn't familiar with the character. If there was ever any doubt that Gunn's a comic book purist (not saying that's a bad thing, mind you), I think we can lay that to rest now. lol
Spica's described as having black hair, green eyes, and standing at five feet six inches tall. Actress de Faria has dark brown hair, green eyes and is roughly the same height. The resemblance is notably strong in the images below.

There are a bunch of latina actresses that he followed at around the same time as María and I kinda suspect they were simply other candidates for the role. There's also Sara Sampaio.
Yep. I just hope that he can fill some of the remaining roles with better actors, though. Don't get me wrong, I like de Faria; she's good with stunts and gave a mostly solid performance as Maria in Deadly Class. But for notable characters like Luthor and Brainiac, you definitely need that A-list talent. I know that signing actors of that caliber for franchises can be challenging, but it's still totally doable.Yeah even for the characters no one cares about like this one he went with an exact clone of the comic lol It's pretty obvious what his vision for DCU casting is. Fully expect Luthor and some of the other castings to reflect that as well, which makes me more intrigued as to who he will ultimately pick for that.
I mean, to be fair, I think if he doesn't sign A-listers is probably because he doesn't care about signing them. He's kinda made a point about that. I think signing someone like Gyllenhaal for Luthor would do this movie really good, but if he really wants to stick to his "as tall as Superman" type then I don't think he'll go for that.Yep.
