If this was a fabric suit, that would be true, but it isn't. These sort of textured latex suits are cast from moulds. You can't just alter/tailor them. They don't have traditional seams.
How certain are you that it’s latex? How certain are you that latex can’t be tailored by a highly skilled artisan? How long do you think it would take to build from scratch, and how certain are you of that estimate? And how certain are you that this photo wasn’t taken months before shooting?

I guess my point is just that there are too many unknowns here. But I for sure agree the collar is different and the eyebrows are blond.

I agree that Ultra-Man (or something like that) is one possible explanation, but it’s hard to say for sure. But if that’s the case, why would he have blond eyebrows but black hair?

Simplest explanation is that the reveal pic was probably from when waaaaay long ago when they were still doing camera tests or whatever trying to perfect the suit. Then they later made modifications when they made the final version upon what they saw. For whatever reason James liked the pic itself enough for a reveal pic.

All this talk about eyebrows but I just want to know how the hell are they not sweating?

It's summer and they're in Cleveland with heavy ass suits and Terrific is wearing leather.
One of the clips shows crew members rushing to them with umbrellas. They probably also wipe the actors if they're sweating excessively.

Watch the special features for Batman Begins, Man of Steel, and other superhero films with similar costumes. There is a lot of discussion of how these suits are made and the limitations.

I'll add to this too: The reveal took way too long, and it was released on such an official capacity that I think there's absolutely no way in hell that it wasn't focus tested to hell when they did so. If I had to guess, they probably had a batch of dozens and dozens of pics they could've used for the reveal, tested them all, and their marketing departments or whatever told them that the revealed one would be the one to get the most engagement. So in a way they probably didn't care for it being fully representative of the final look, they just wanted to get the ball rolling in announcing the movie to the world, hence them using an old pic with outdated elements could've been acceptable for them.

Just got out of work and I can finally see this. Gotta say these set photos have won me over. Besides my minor nitpicks, the mix of classic and modern Superman looks fantastic. I hope they don't tweak the colors too much like in that promo shoot.
Trunks and golden S on the back are a huge plus for me.

I think Gunn confirmed that the shot he chose was on set during filming and snapped the picture himself of David getting ready when they were filming photography.

Now, the million dollar question:

What in the name of Our Good Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth were Gunn and WB thinking with that official picture?
To be honest, they use this strategy all the time. The idea is to counterbalance the potential negative fallout by presenting the first-look image in the least favorable light, then slowly revealing more flattering shots to demonstrate that it isn't nearly as bad as it seemed.

For those who don't understand what I mean, here's a comparison picture For both suits from SR and MOS before the filter and after the filter

As you can see from this example, both directors used color filters for their film in order to portray a certain look and feel... now, I will admit, i'm not familiar with James Gunn's work, but this is a genuine concern for me, because without these filters, both suits looked just fine

Nah. The only thing he set was "shot on set", which could've been for a camera test too. I keep track of everything he says.

Actually he said it was their still photographer.

If it was really intentional, I actually think that was incredibly smart.
