Pushing the theory even further... Am I the only one noticing how much paler Corenswet looks than anyone else since yesterday set pics?

I was thinking the same thing. Especially in the battle damaged suit. It could just be lighting, but I don't remember him looking this pale when he was getting arrested by the masked wearing mascot of the Miami Hurricanes.

Gere he is next to Rachel, who is quite pale. He looks a bit darker then her and compared to this new stuff imo. He actually looks a bit "sun kissed" in comparsion.

And it is interesting that he is doing all this stuff with a heavily damaged suit, which I guess means he is doing all this during the third act?

Not to start you or me spiralling, but I hope Gunn can balance this lighter stuff along with whatever the big third act threat is. We don't want tonal whiplash or a sense that Supes is not treating the presumed crisis with due seriousness (eg. Clark and Lois making out in MOS while downtown Metropolis collapses behind them).

Could also be a second act montage. Gunn's third acts are usually very focused, and I would be surprised to see him do something like Superman and a squirrel unless it had some crazy emotional importance or it's after the conflict has been resolved. Lighthearted jokes like that are usually given to the side-characters in the third act.

Like Bizarro!

My current pet theory is Superman gets arrested, Bizarro ends up with the suit. Does some stuff that results in it getting trashed (I think the reason he doesn't have a proper cape on in some shots is because it's going to be tattered and they'll probably CGI it) setting up the perfect way to distinguish between the pair later on.

Moved onto? You have been living in the clone bizarro camp for a while now.

From what I have seen from the footage. Supes is saving people, burning explosions happen and he gets battle damage, then for whatever reason the crowd doesn't like him.. maybe because previous to his introduction everyone else was killing bad guys and Supes is handing them over to the PoPo.

I'll eat my hat if this is a bizarro story but I while heartedly think its not and there are just some hills folks wanna die on.

If Lex is framing him and the video is related to that, that'd also very easily explain the reactions. I reaaally don't buy the Bizarro thing because every argument regarding that is flimsy as hell.

It's all theories right now. Because we know nothing. Which is why the speculation is fun. No one here is Gunn. And even if they were, he sure as hell wouldn't be leaking his movie.

I'd need to see a higher-res shot, with a better angle, but it does appear to sit higher up on his neck than before. Looks more like the reveal collar, but I can't say for sure.

I mean this one doesn't come from nowhere at least. Last fall, there was a scoop that the film involves Lex creating a Superman clone called Ultraman. A scoop that Gunn refused to debunk with his usual directness.

Lo and behold, 9 months later we get a big guy in a black suit and full face mask with big U on the chest manhandling Superman during the shoot. That's some pretty decent circumstantial evidence in my opinion.
