Pardon the ignorance, but what does "VFX shoot" means?

From what I am gathering from my google search, it seems to mean shooting scenes that will have CGI caked onto them in post production. Like actors and stunt guys in motion capture suits and clean background plates and things like that.

I pray that the JSA are built into the DCU’s history from the jump, because it’s been stupid as hell that Smallville, the Arrowverse and the DCEU have played the present emergence of superheroes as a huge thing… only to eventually hit the audiences with “Okay, here’s the thing: there was also a superhero team awhile back, but we just didn’t want to tell you about it.”

I can't recall the last time we had a story where Superman made his debut into an world with well established heroes. Should be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

I pray that the JSA are built into the DCU’s history from the jump, because it’s been stupid as hell that Smallville, the Arrowverse and the DCEU have played the present emergence of superheroes as a huge thing… only to eventually hit the audiences with “Okay, here’s the thing: there was also a superhero team awhile back, but we just didn’t want to tell you about it.”

Yeah shoehorning them in after the fact doesn't work outside of comics. There are plenty of ways to make it work and interesting from the jump!

I wonder if Superman's arc is going to be him being a throwback to those golden age heroes in terms of his values, which is why groups like The Authority don't get along with him very much. Kind of a twist on Kingdom Come.

It's probably the most likely scenario, but JG dropped the 1st look out of nowhere, so there's always hope we might get something sooner.
