I'd say it's Williams but being treated like a James Bond theme. It doesn't have to be the orchestral version and after so many years of anticipating a Superman film, I don't care and just want a cool movie.

You can just tell Gunn has been dying to give us stuff, Monday morning and he’s already dropping little things here and there

Wasting no time

Just to be controversial, I really like the poster, simple and super effective. No notes.
But I would be lying if I said the color palette and interlacing effect didn't immediately remind me of WW84! 😅

But more seriously, I'm very curious about the movie imagery.
The comicbookness I'm getting from what we've seen so far is promising and I hope it will feel truly unique.

Also I'm gonna say we will not at all guess what "pop" songs J.G will use, after watching what's out of creature commandos I think we will be all in for a shock (or expecting tunes we might not know that well)

Oh, a whole lot of people…
Michael J Fox, Simu Liu, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, Alex Trebek, Seth Rogan, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Drake, Celine Dion…and that’s just off the top of my head. ;)
Haha, I know but... I still don't get the reference 😅

Wow, everything about this is just *chefs kiss*. I swear, I can hear parts of the Christopher Reeves theme in there. Tell me I'm not hearing things.

Most definitely not, it's very clear at the end it's a slowed down version of the theme.

I like the warm and the comicbookness of what we already got.

I think these two different styles will be part of what the movie is like. We will have serious Supes and also "good dog" Supes, I personally think for the first time in cinema (Superman and Lois did a great job) we will get a 3 dimensional Superman/Clark. This will be his story.

I agree. The studio leaned into one way and the other in prior interpretations. David is going to be an all around Superman. Judging by that poster, I think Gunn is going to nail it.

a MOS Zimmer inspired rework of the Williams theme is what that sounds like, and I can’t think of a better idea than that

Why reinvent the wheel if you don’t have to, you can just blend different forms of perfection

Not gonna lie, I'm a little beyotch. Brought a slight tear to my eye. Man, I love this character. :legacy:

I feel the current song we have feels "worldly", it isn't just military style brash orchestral sounds, it's light and pretty but also definitely working it's way up to something heavier which is where I think we will get the real theme for Supes.

Though hopefully we do get an original theme. Sure, both of those themes are great, but we need something new for a new take on the character. Superman and Lois had an excellent Superman and theme without needing to borrow with what came before.

It's why the Williams theme stuck out when it was in Shazam, or when Tim Burton just brought back his Batman theme for Justice League.
