So which Daily Planet Rooftop Globe (Movies Only) do you guys like the most?

"SUPERMAN" (2025)

"SUPERMAN RETURNS" (2006)

I love both, but that SR's Daily Planet Globe, building and office set are as about as perfect as can be.

Say whatever you want about Returns but they absolutely nailed it with the DP and overall aesthetic to the film.

Rewatching the teaser, it's only a snippet but my first reaction is how I really like how his hair is actually blowing as he flies.

Both are top notch. The top is more futuristic while the bottom is art deco(ish)

What they don’t show you is Jeff Sneider being escorted from the premises for “jokingly” suggesting the three of them performing the Challengers kiss.

Just on a superficial note, these two totally look like textbook definitions of Lois & Clark.

That casting director deserves a raise.

Outside of Kate Bosworth, there hasn't been a single bad casting in the Super-family throughout the characters history. You could argue Eisenberg as Lex, but that was more of an out of the box casting as a risk.

I do feel that David has been their guy since 2019. He was the studios pick if they were to reboot all those years. Born for the role. Rachel is quite the catch. TAS come to absolute life.

haha yea, i think i mean to say how it looks like real life there - like you could've recorded it with your phone.

but the rest of the footage looks cinematic.

so it doesnt seem to match up, like they were directed by two different people.

This is going to sound strange but I almost appreciate the more "level" appearance that the footage has. Like it's obviously a film but it looks a little more raw maybe?

Sort of Found Footage look to it except with SUPERMAN I don't know that's intentionally meant to look that way and idk if I put it into words very well lol. But I love it for simply being official and from the movie

Damn. I didn't realize how similar the globe looks to the one in STAS.

You know, even though I’m loving what I’m seeing so far from this film, I really do hope that they’re able to use whatever money they get from these films to gradually tweak and add onto this iteration of Metropolis in future projects gradually overtime to give it even more and more of a futuristic, art deco aesthetic.

Honestly, it looks more like MoS than I expected but in totally good ways. There’s really lovely portions of MoS where the handheld naturalistic style really works. The only Snyder movie that doesn’t look like bland vomit.
